The Plantation House is on first avenue, essentially 1 block south of 5th avenue, between 14th and 16th Street (Calle). The Trinidad Suite is a 1-bedroom suite with a sitting area, kitchen with dining table, a bedroom and bathroom with shower. The TV is in the bedroom, and NetFlix is pretty much all you can watch (but you don’t come to Playa for the TV programs). There is a split-system A/C in the living area and in the bedroom, controlled with separate thermostats, but the lowest temperature that you can set if 76F. In January, the outside temperatures are not much higher than that, so you can open windows and get enough ventilation to do without A/C. The downside of opening windows is that there is a bar just down the street with live music most nights. The music is not bad, but if you plan to go to sleep before midnight, when the band stops playing, you might have to be judicious about which windows to keep open. Sometimes, there were some “loud” people on their way from the bars as well. It probably depends on exactly which unit you’re in, and what time of year it is. For coffee and drinking water, you get a large (20L) water bottle with a siphon, and you can get more if you run out. There is a nice selection of cookware, dishes for most needs. You can buy groceries at the Mega, which is about 10 minutes easy walk. Beach towels are provided and you can also borrow beach chairs and coolers (first come, first served, but we were able to get them each time we went to the beach). There is a microwave, but be careful as some of the dishes are not microwave-safe. I think it would be good if they made sure you could tell which ones to not put in the microwave.
