'Beautiful boutique hotel in Hydra Town. Just blocks from the ferry docks. Small property, only a few rooms, excellent housekeeping. And a homemade breakfast that was huge, varied tremendously from day to day, multiple dishes, and NOT a buffet. From pastries to fruit, eggs, coffee, custard…so glad we opted to eat there instead of going to a restaurant. Fantastic place, would go back in a heartbeat. '

'It was a beautifully restored mansion. We were in the basement but there was plenty of sunlight streaming in from windows. Bedroom was in upstairs loft so stairs to navigate . Bathroom downstairs. Everything updated and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, from granola with fruit to eggs and small spinach pies. Tasty orange cake to top it off!
Lovely place with garden and resident tortoise and areas to sit outside with a glass of wine. Highly recommend and use the donkeys to carry luggage!'

Kostas, the host, is the nicest guy you will ever meet. Kostas is a Hydra local. He was very welcoming and super helpful, offering us the best tips for where to eat and swim, and how to get around. He made our stay at Hydra great and we would love to come back.'
'The outside space was stunning at Hotel Pavlou. Decor and outlook was very picturesque. Seafront service at the beds during the day (they even had a paddleboard and dinghy free for guests to use) and watching the sunset in the hotels seafront restaurant, Thala Sea was perfect. Due to Covid, breakfast was served to our table in the garden( between lemon-, orange- and pomegranate trees etc) instead of going to a buffet ourselves.
