'It was horrible. Norman Bates'

'First time I have ever checked in without being required to show my ID or give a credit card. Place was being renovated and looked fresh—looked like 1st and 3rd floors were done. Fire alarm went off three times within a couple of hours. Husband had to take stairs as they couldn’t get the elevator to work after the second fire alarm. As a retired firefighter, he wanted to see what was going on. He said the stairwell was full of doors which was probably why they didn’t want to call fire dept...

'Het bed was schoon en er was geen vloerbedekking maar tegels, echter de a/c is heel luidruchtig . De tegels in de badkamer lagen meer en deel los.'

'The overall impression was good. It was clean, quiet, and safe.'

'When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk. I called the number to the front desk, I was right there with the phone ringing, and still, no one showed up. My kids and I waited for like 10 minutes. Right when I was walking away to go find another hotel, someone appeared. I was not pleased but I didn't say anything. I was tired and had just driven 6 hours and just didn't feel like arguing with someone.'

'Quiet neighborhood. Older house that has been very well maintained and was very clean. Host was very responsive and friendly. Beds were comfortable. Koi pond oasis in the back was very peaceful and a wonderful bonus! 2 outdoor kitties made appearances and were very curious. :) Our family of 5 stayed overnight, on our way to the beach. It was the same price as a single hotel room in Birmingham. This home was a much better choice! We would definitely stay here again!'
