This is unfortunate Samuel, in many respects. Dan and I have hosted more than 600 guests since we opened our home and pride ourselves on providing an impeccable 5-star experience, from cleanliness to communication. We're very disappointed to receive this surprising feedback, now weeks after your check-out. --- Throughout your 7-night stay last month, unfortunately you neglected to make mention of any issue during that time, which would have provided us the opportunity to rectify immediately. On the contrary, we received nothing but positive comments from you ("everything's ok!") in our exchanges together. We strongly recommend you alert future hosts of troubles you may be experiencing to allow them to address the problem and provide a thorough solution. --- Further Samuel, while it was regrettable you initially walked into an unclean home, the fact is that you entered without permission before your check-in time, and the house had not yet been arranged by our cleaning crew. While you had requested an early arrival - which we certainly tried to accommodate - ultimately due to scheduling we did ask that you refrain until our agreed upon entry time of 4pm... which you then disregarded, going in early on your own accord anyway. For your next stay, we encourage you to respect check-in guidelines and allow hosts time to adequately prepare, as not to negatively influence first impressions. --- All that said, we have of course shared your notes with our cleaning team and already put plans in motion to mitigate these risks going forward - including a double check of dishes that prior guests have returned to cupboards, a triple check that the coffee filter's been emptied, and more. All items you've surfaced are gladly quite addressable, which we would have appreciated the chance to do for you during your stay.

In regards to the other issue, we do wish you had brought this to our attention during your stay so we could have addressed it right away. As per our previous 5-star reviews, we always do our best to make sure guests have as best an experience as possible.
