Tree House-atmosfeer op Chalk Sound

Villa Poinciana is een huis met 2 slaapkamers, 3 badkamers en 1300 vierkante voet met overdekte dekken die zich om beide gebouwen wikkelen. Het omliggende gebladerte overspoelt de houten structuren. Zie Aerial video op:

Deze charmante villa ligt in de rustige zuidwesthoek van Providenciales, in de buurt van de baai van Sapodilla, aan de rand van het water van het schilderachtige Chalk Sound National Park, een wildreservaat op Turks en Caicos-eiland.

Villa Poinciana bestaat uit twee afzonderlijke, maar onderling verbonden, houten bouwwerken in de stijl van West-Indië, die comfortabel zijn genesteld in de natuurlijke flora en rotsformaties van de kust van Chalk Sound. Poinciana wordt geleverd met drie kajaks om je te laten genieten van het verkennen van de eilanden in Chalk Sound.

Een gebouw bevat de woonkamer, keuken, eethoek en een ligbad; en de andere, twee grote slaapkamers met elk een eigen badkamer die een boomhutachtige sfeer creëren die wordt versterkt door de verbindende houten loopbruggen en de omliggende tropische planten. De vele dekken en verbindingsgangen bieden een prachtig uitzicht op een schitterend turquoise blauw water dat je voor altijd zult herinneren.

Poinciana biedt plaats aan een groep van 4 personen. Daarnaast is er een tweepersoons slaapbank in de woonkamer geschikt voor een extra kind of volwassenen en een slaapzolder in de suite. Ondanks de Zwitserse familie Robinson-uitstraling van Poinciana, beschikt het over de moderne gemakken van een flatscreen-tv, draadloos internet en bluetooth-audioluidsprekers voor uw plezier.

Beautiful location for a beach getaway!!

Booked this property for a getaway with friends having never stayed in Provo. We had the best time, and it was the perfect location! It is a treehouse like atmosphere, but equipped had all the amenities we needed for the week and it was only a short drive away from a number of restaurants and activities. We loved Taylor Beach, which was only a short distance from the property and walkable. We can’t wait to visit Poinciana again!

My daughter selected Colin’s place and we were very happy with our stay. Beautiful views and accommodations. Colin was very responsive to questions prior to our arrival as well as during our week stay. The iguanas were so much fun to watch! The area was calm and low key. We ordered in for meals. Loved the swifteats delivery app. Chartered a boat from Okeanos: wonderful! Mostly just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves on our deck and in the water! We had little lizard visitors every day that were fun to watch. Thank you Colin!

Perfect Caribbean Vibe

We loved this place! The vibe and open air was perfect. Felt like we were actually at home and not at some apartment building atmosphere. All the glass in the living area not only provided an A view of the sound but the breeze was heavenly. Absolutely no need for AC. I actually wore a light sweater. The separate building for bedrooms was perfect. My friend was in heaven with the open sliders in her room at night. This was no more inconvenient than a two story building, the stairs are just in the open air. We loved it. The location is two very nice beaches with one having a very fun little tiki bar. Using the kayaks and paddleboard on the beautiful Sound was perfect for me. Lots of privacy surrounded by natural beauty of the Sound water was truly a slice of paradise. If I ever come back to Turks and Caicos I hope this gem is available.

Beautiful house with everything you need to have fun!

We spent a good time at Collin’s house. Everything was perfect and beautiful. The view was spectacular. Every morning was like a dream. Collin is very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this rental to everybody. We rented a car and did not even use it a lot since everything was in the house and the location is perfect. A great family vacation

We had a great time at Colin’s place for our family of four. Absolutely loved paddling out and visiting the iguanas in the kayaks and sitting out on the dock reading. The kitchen had everything we needed to make the majority of our meals.

Heaven on Earth!

This our second time staying at Colin’s villa and will not be the last. Nestled on a quiet strip in beautiful Chalk Sound, it’s close to two beautiful beaches and well connected to the rest of the island. You’ll never tire of the sound of waves gently lapping against the shore.

Fantastic Property in a Beautiful, Quiet Spot

Staying on Chalk Sound is immensely different from staying in the resorts on Grace Bay beach. It's so quiet with stunning views, super close to Sapodilla & Taylor Bay beach which are shallower and calmer for children. Great views of planes landing and taking off but far enough away from the airport that you didn't hear the noise. We loved everything about this property. The main house was perfectly appointed. The house with bedrooms was amazing with 2 separate entrances and a bathroom in each. Our children are old enough that this worked well for us but might be an issue for people with smaller kids. This would also make for an amazing stay for 2 couples as you could each have your own entrance / exit to the outside. We felt safe enough to leave the door open to take the breeze at night. The gear that was available for use was beyond - multiple kayaks, a SUP, life jackets, plentiful beach towels, chairs, floaties, etc. We loved the decks, the gear, the ability to slide open the doors for a breeze, the views, the easy access to quieter, calmer beaches. Honestly, this afforded us the best vacation we have had as a family in quite a few years and a huge part of that had to do with our tremendous stay here at Colin's amazing property on Chalk Sound.

This property was beautiful! We loved using the kayaks to venture out and see more of Chalk Sound. The views from the deck are STUNNING- even on cloudy days. Endless towels, ice chest bags, kitchen supplies and a washing machine were all great to have. Thanks!! Would love to come back.

Perfect Family Vacation

Loved waking up to such a beautiful view every morning! The house was perfect for our family of 3- 2 adults and 1 teenager. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding in the sound. We did a lot of exploring around the island and everything we needed was available at the house: beach towels, beach chairs, snorkels, floats,And small coolers to pack drinks and snacks!

Another Wonderful Stay

This was our second time staying at Poinciana and it was even better than the first! First off the Villa is beautiful and Colin provides everything needed to have an amazing stay. The kitchen is well stocked and we always found anything we needed while cooking, including when baking my son his annual birthday cake! There are extra linens, travel sized toiletries, beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, portable speaker, etc. Anything and everything that you need they have thought of. The home is very well appointed and the layout worked great for our family of five, three of which are teens (18,16,14). Next LOCATION!!! The beauty of Chalk Sound which offers kayaking and paddle boarding right off the dock plus having Taylor Bay and Sopadilla Beach which are right down the street was everything that we wanted. Do not hesitate to book! You will not regret it!

Magical week at Poinciana

My family and I had an amazing stay at Poinciana. The setting was breathtaking, you are truly right on the water. We sat out on the dock each night and dangled our feet in Chalk Sound, and Taylor Bay is right down the road for late afternoon swims. We were often the only ones on the beach. The host was extremely responsive and helpful and the house had absolutely everything that you could need. This place is a gem!

Amazing location and amazing house/property. Everything was exactly as described. The views were absolutely stunning! We greatly appreciated the beach chairs, snorkel equipment and the kayaks/paddleboards. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. Our family of 5 loved staying at this property. The views were amazing and we loved having the kayaks and paddleboard to explore Chalk Sound. The kitchen is fully stocked along with plenty of beach towels and bath towels. We would definitely stay here again!

It was OK

First, the best parts……location on Chalk Sound is excellent. This is our second time renting in the area and you can walk to Taylor Bay and Sapodilla Bay beaches within 10-15 min. Being able to to kayak with all 4 of us on the sound was fantastic and easy to get to Iguana Island. The VIEWS are incredible from the main building! Kitchen is well stocked with all the pans and utensils you’ll need if you plan on cooking. Some things to be aware of….there are bugs (a variety) that can sneak their way in through the window/door screens. Bug zappers are provided in the main building and both bedrooms to help. I messaged Colin that some of the screens have come loose from the frames and he was very quick to respond asking how many so he can order replacements. The indoor bug zappers were appreciated but even the need to have them was surprising….the last time we rented (approximately 10 houses down) we had zero issues with indoor bugs. So for everyone coming after us, you’ll hopefully be fine. For us it was a daily battle. The night before check out I wanted to do laundry as we had a second leg of our vacation and packed assuming we could wash our clothes. The washing machine stopped filling with water shortly after starting. It was very difficult to reach Colin this time. Messaged through VRBO, private email, text to cell and left 2 vm’s…..it took over 2 hours to hear back. Needless to say, the mechanic finally arrived about 9:00 pm and I was doing laundry until 10:30 pm.

Everything we were wanting

This trip and property were everything that we were looking for in a family vacation. From the layout to the stunning decks and dock we could not have dreamed of a better location. We had everything that we needed for our stay. And the paddle board and kayaks were such a treat! Felt like a private excursion every day being able to explore the Chalk Sound and little islands. We can not wait to come back and are looking forward to making this an annual trip!
