The AC in the room they gave us was extremely loud and blowing air uncontrollably. The thermostat wasn’t working well. It was not until the Thursday when I realized there was mold on the ceiling in the room. I have pictures of the molded ceiling.
My mother and I got food poisoning from eating at their Tamari restaurant. Mine started after the hibachi dinner Tuesday evening and my mom’s Wednesday evening after the sushi dinner. We both got severe food poisoning with nausea, vomit, and non-stop diarrhea. We saw a doctor at the hotel who gave medicine but the symptoms persisted all the way through the plane ride home. The doctor gave my mom 2 shots of medicine that didn’t help with her symptoms either.
When showering the water would come out of the shower and spread all over the bathroom floor, not sure what kind of design this was. Our clothes remained wet all 6 days, there’s no air circulation in the room, I think that’s why there was mold growing.
The bread at the buffet was old and stale, they likely recycle left overs which isn’t sanitary. I also noticed the workers don’t wear gloves.
I would ask the waiters to bring bottled water for my baby and most would refuse and tell me to go to the cafe while others were kind enough to bring it. I was trying avoid diarrhea for my baby from filtered water. My son had diarrhea the day we left the resort which seeped through several outfits on the way to the airport, on the plane, and our entire way home.
