The only thing I truly appreciated about this property was the housekeeping staff—they were consistent, friendly, and kept our room clean every day. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The resort is very outdated and in serious need of renovations. There’s only one elevator for the entire property, so staying on the fifth floor meant constantly climbing stairs. Staff weren’t very welcoming, and the two buffet-style restaurants were overcrowded, disorganized, and not well-maintained. The counters were always dirty, and it was hard to find clean plates or silverware. We found ourselves walking around just asking where the basics were. Lines were long, and despite waiting 30–45 minutes with our group of six, we were passed up for another group of the same size—there was clearly no real system in place.
To make matters worse, the phones in the rooms didn’t work, so there was no way to reach the front desk. The room layout was also strange—there was no door for the bathroom or shower area. If you're traveling with kids, you’ll definitely need to hang a curtain for privacy. The beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable. My family and I usually enjoy staying at RIU Resorts, but this particular location was a huge letdown. It’s much smaller and less impressive than any other RIU we’ve visited. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.
