We recently stayed at this resort and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff was consistently friendly, welcoming, and very responsive—definitely the highlight of our trip. The resort is walkable, which made getting around easy, and the pools and beach are conveniently accessible.
However, the overall experience fell short in a few important areas. The food was quite mediocre across the board. The buffet was inconsistent in both variety and quality, and most of the restaurants left a lot to be desired. The two standouts, Blue Agave and La Flora, offered much better dining—but unfortunately, La Flora was adults-only, so as a family with kids, we couldn’t enjoy it.
Although the resort is marketed as family-friendly, it seems more suited to older adults. Many areas were designated as “member exclusive,” yet they remained empty throughout our stay. The pools were deeper than expected and not ideal for younger children, and the beach was covered with sargassum and seaweed, which limited our time there.
Overall, we’d rate the experience a 3.5 out of 5, primarily because of the excellent staff. With a few improvements—especially around food quality and family accommodations—it could be a much more enjoyable destination for all types of travelers.
