The resort very nice the staff are very friendly but the food wasn’t that great, as well as if you want to book any tour or activity just book from the hotel the people on the beach are very rude and they just want money they didn’t even give you the full service that you paid for.

Very clean, well maintained grounds. Buffet had a good variety. The optional restaurants were good. The staff work incredibly hard and keep everything running smoothly. Only issue was trying to find loungers either at the pools or beach. There are plenty, but people save these, and may be gone for hours, leaving a shortage of places to sit. Experienced this several times and was disappointing. Otherwise this is a very pretty and well maintained resort. This was our second time there.

Food was horrible. Mexican food and Japan restaurant were horrible. Free drink areas were understaffed. Spent more time waiting for drinks than enjoying than a night club. No internet in the rooms. Would have to leave room to use phone to check on family or just check emails. Drink machines were down most of the time. Hot tub in main pool was not working. They allowed smoking everywhere outside even in the common areas. No free shuttle to the airport.

The beds are hard as a brick, my body hurts!
The pillows are very small and also extremely hard.
I had to roll my own luggage’s to my rooms with my kids.
Nobody greeted me upon entry, i had no information about dining /wifi/room service.

I enjoyed the wildlife and plants/ trees. Speaking Spanish is a must to communicate with the majority of the staff. I feel on checkin and check out was rushed and the checkout gentleman only wanted to hail me a taxi. Very hot and crowded and noisy in the buffet and restaurants at all times of the day. Also pools 3 beautiful ones were always busy. Do not sit at the edge of the beach closest to the water if you don’t want to attract multiple vendors and interruptions.

Where do I start? When checking in… the male at the front desk was not unwelcoming at all, he did not accommodate and was rude. I asked him for if it would be possible to check out an hour later due to my fight coming later and I have no where to go and he said no and it would be an extra charge. I never had that issue with any other hotels such as Dream Onyx and Breathless.
After requesting for a manager, we spoke with Angel who was courteous and helpful in allowing the hour late check out.
Secondly, after receiving our cards and taken to our room… there were at least 100 of mosquitos flying in the room. It was unbearable to be in the room. I got bit up all over my arms and legs in a matter of a 5 minute span.
After trying to get out of the room of mosquitos and going out back to the lobby to see if there were food or drinks we could get… we found out no pool after 6:00. Being that we just checked in also. Disappointment.
We then tried to go to the bar and get a drink just to be told we have to pay for our drinks. What is all inclusive then???
Whatever we eat it. Then we walk around and look for a restaurant to eat because we haven’t ate all day. We tried to eat at the Mexican restaurant just to be turned down and told no. No reservation then we can’t come in… so all of this was for nothing?
We booked with this place for one night…. prior to departing the next day to just get poor service and completely nothing for the amount we paid. Please make that make sense???

It is a good property, outside shopping was close by to buy souvenirs. It is a very good property for a nice walk, beach was decent. Hot tub didn’t have hot water for all three pools. Food was average, hard to communicate if you don’t know Spanish. Folks at this property do not speak English at all. If you are vegetarian or not eat pork products they are not careful and/or have lack of knowledge to clean bowls, spoons or use separate utensils from food safety. I was disappointed with service as everything is time based. We had a reservation for a restaurant which runs from 6:30 to 10 PM. Two times for reservations 6:30to6:40 or 8:30 to 8:40. We arrived at 6:50 and was denied service even though tables were empty and others had just started on their appetizers. We were told to come at 8:30 slot which doesn’t make any sense. No one is willing to go out of the way to help except some servers were very nice but mostly not willing to help. I wouldn’t come back just because of the service.

Good overall stay at Vista Sol. Staff at site were amazing, helpful, and patient. Food was good. I help safe and protected at the beach and on site. The only downside is the bathroom. There was only glass pane for the shower. The caulking was sloppy. The toilet seat cover was broken.

This is a beautiful hotel with very cute rooms, the hospitality and its people were everything to me. It’s a very small hotel, but they have activities and night shows to give you something to do!
