Gastvrij en behulpzaam, heerlijk ontbijtje op de kamer elke ochtend (niet bij prijs in maar heel goedkoop, prijs zeker waard voor wat je krijgt).

The stay was fine and the location was excellent. Issues arose when I lost my black pearl bracelet. I'm pretty sure I left it on the bedside table and since it's black on black I wouldn't be surprised if staff accidentally moved it or something of the like, I think that's how I overlooked it myself the morning we noticed it was missing (one day into our three night stay). Anyway I was pretty disappointed with the reaction when I flagged the item as missing. The clerk looked shocked and I had to urge him to take down the information on my lost item. I double checked his work when I noticed he never asked for my name or contact information. Overall I'm really disappointed with the handling of this situation, it sapped any confidence that I had that should my bracelet be found by them that it would actually be returned to me. Maybe there isn't a procedure for when clients who report missing items? If so, I think this should be corrected as if I really am the first person to lose something I definitely won't be the last. Down the line, I would have appreciated decisive action and reassurance (akin to "we will do our best to find it") even though I know that there's only so much that can be done, especially because it's possible I didn't even lose it there. To those considering a stay: it's well located and a decent price, just be vigilant with your belongings.

hello we are sorry that you were disappointed in our handling of the situation, please be assured that we do indeed take the locating of your possessions seriously, while i did not ask you for your name, it was because we have your information on our computer and i knew which room you were staying in.As a small hotel we strive to have a more personal demeanor, but that should not give way to the professional mannerisms that you should expect.When you left the hotel i went in the room and searched under the bed and all the drawers with a flashlight, we also took out he sheets individually to see if we could find your bracelet, but unfortunately we did not find it.we will do out best to find it and wish you luck and hope that you are able to locate it.

Toujours aussi agréable
Ce n'est pas notre premier séjour à ce petit hôtel charmant. Nous n'avions pas le choix de la chambre car c'était une réservation de dernière minute. La possibilité de laisser notre voiture dsns le stationnement pour visiter le Vieux Québec est un gros plus. Nous avons aussi été très bien accueilli par la jeune dame à la réception. On va certainement y retourner lorsque l'occasion se présentera.

Au Petit Hotel stands out for having a cheap price in a good location. Every major attraction was within minutes of walking distance, so we could take breaks back at the hotel. The staff members were also very friendly. However, the building is quite old. A cabinet in our room was falling apart, and the wifi was quite slow. Additionally, our washroom was very small--barely enough space to place clothes and toiletries. There was basically no sound-proof system as you can hear people walking up and down the stairs as well as movements in other rooms.

This was the perfect place to stay in Old Quebec if you are looking to see the beautiful old architecture, eat in lovely restaurants and go shopping, all within walking distance. We stayed here for 4 nights and it was very clean and quiet, we had coffee for our room and toiletries replenished every day, and it was very clean. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and helpful for providing tourist information. He would look up and find anything we asked or needed. 10/10 would stay here again!

Great Place- Friendly Staff-Excellent Location
This place was excellent. Very helpful staff at front desk helped us with area highlights and was helpful overall. The room was very clean, the neighborhood safe, and the distance from local attractions within walking distance. It's an older building in a residential neighborhood, but literally around the corner and/or down the street from restaurants, bars, coffee shops, stores, etc. Book it.

Outside of the AC issue (see below) I would give 5 stars across all categories. The property was quaint and clean. The room was small (as advertised) but that was expected and the room met our needs as far as the bed (excellent), linens, and private bathroom. However, the room faced south and was in direct sunlight for much of the day. While the day was only warm (mid-60's) the room was prone to become quite warm. The AC unit was marginal at best and did not work (error code P5). Staff were not able to mitigate the issue and guided other rooms were using their heat and that caused my AC unit not to work. I suspect these rooms didn't have the sun beating on them all day. Opening a window was only an option if we were comfortable putting ourselves on full display for rooms that could look straight in from across the courtyard. Additonally any breeze came from the west (I believe) but with the window facing the south no breeze entered through the window. Frankly, I believe replacing (or cleaning gears) the AC unit will mitigate future issues as I could tell it struggled to open it's louver when powered on and then, after that struggle, failed with the error code referenced. Outside of the temperature of the room the property was excellent and the staff very hospitable and helpful with restaurant recommendations and other suggestions to make the most of our visit. If you can assure working AC/heat I highly recommend you stay at Au Petit Hotel.

As the name implies, nice small hotel on a quiet alley with parking. Smallish room in quaint old building but nicely equipped. Close to everything in the old city, perfect for our one-night stay passing thru Quebec - would have gladly stayed more nights

The location was great. Staff was very helpful. Stairs to the top floor were an issue for carrying luggage. Gentleman at front desk was able to find us another room, smaller with only a double bed but it was more convenient. For a small room, it had all we needed. We were very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel. Very economical for being inside the walls of old Quebec.

Great location and easy parking. Walking distance to all of the main tourist areas and the hotel itself is on a side street so not much noise at night. Room was small and nothing fancy but it was very clean and had everything we needed. Friendly receptionist and housekeeping came every day. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling on a budget - probably the best deal in the area!

The room was clean and check in/out was very easy. We arrived early in the day and were able to park our vehicle and walk around the old town and have lunch while we waited to check in. One thing to note is that parking is made for cars or small to medium size SUVs. Talk to the hotel in advance about parking a larger vehicle.
