'The best dog friendly rental we have stayed in so far. The house was clean, the beds comfortable, nicely updated and the rustic decor charming. Scaly mountain is between Highlands NC and Dillard Ga, so close enough either way to enjoy shopping and restaurants but rural enough to feel like you live in the country. Lots of dog friendly hiking trails nearby. Loved the front porch with its swing and cool evenings, and the fire pit. Definitely recommend.'

'Our room was comfortable though it needed some minor maintenance - lightbulb out, loose shower grab bar. Breakfast was average. The hotel is very close to a grocery store, gas station and a few fast food choices. My dogs each got a gift bag at check-in. '
