'If you are looking for an authentic Greek stay, be sure to try aunties cottage. Located in a centrally located mountain village with a local busy taverna and butcher and the pleasant town of Agia Effimia nearby. The cottage is really fully equipped and has plenty of space inside and outside. The terrace has sun and shade and a beautiful view over the valley with the sea in the distance. Do not expect 5 star modern glossy luxury, but instead opt for warmth, cosiness and the feeling of coming home...

'My girlfriend and I started our first stay on the island here. We are very low-key, off the beat and path type people, so Daphne's Villas were a great stop. These villas are about 40 years old with all the original infrastructure still intact. They have charm, great hosts, and are on a large piece of property that resembles paradise. 'If you’re looking to escape the party crowds on Zakynthos this is a perfect retreat. Beautiful and thoughtful villas spread out privately. I really enjoyed my time here. There’s a beach a short walk away, a wonderful seafront taverna and several others just up the road. Maria provided excellent instructions with great tips for the week. 'Lovely house in the country, beautifully decorated, fully stocked with cooking items, full size fridge, dishwasher, large bathroom with washer. Nice seating area outside with a table and a couple of chairs, plus two loungers. Hosts, Theo and Panteleon were there to greet us and show us around. Flat, off road parking spot next to the house, with a gate. Drinking water in the fridge, and a bottle of wine. Nice restaurant in Zola about 5k away, also a couple of restaurants in Farsa 7k away....

'We just returned from a relaxing week at picturesque Paleopetres resort that exceeded our expectations! Joanne made the entire process from booking to check-in extremely easy, she is a great communicator and goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are happy. The welcome basket of treats and stocked beverages in the fridge was a pleasant surprise after a long travel day. Louise does a fantastic job keeping the villas squeaky clean and stocked with towels and gave us great recommendations...
