'A bit unpleasant oder prevailed as we first entered the hallway. Under the inside top rim of the toilet was a rim of black who knows what. It was strange to have to sign that we'd not cause any trouble.'

The layout was very weird and it looked as if it was missing furniture and there were some dents in the walls. I mentioned it to staff and the girl I spoke to indicated that it was just an old room that needed the furniture to be replaced (apparently happening this fall). 'The room was beautiful and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with different options available for the two days we were there. We did not do any shopping. We were there to visit our daughter a short distance away. Had a most enjoyable stay! Will definitely stay at Fairfield again when in Dupont!'

'The hotel is no frills and in a great location. The room was not ready for check-in at three and the staff was unhelpful and seemingly unbothered by the line of guests wanting their rooms. We finally got into our room about 90 minutes after the advertised check-in time with water bottles and granola bars as a 'sorry for the wait' bag.'
