'For a cheap style hotel located on the far outskirts of Hanoi it was surprisingly good. The rooms are large, air-conditioned and have two big double beds (hard matresses) and a small private bathroom (a bit run down but good hot water). Room even has a smart TV....but that's about it. Located in a very quiet street but very limited food options, especially after dark. We used it as a stop over from Cat Ba to SaPa which was ideal. Much better than the over populated and way too busy Hanoi Old...

'It was not a pleasant experience, from the moment of check in until check out. The check in process was very confusing, and I was charged entrance fee. I needed to pay buggy car, also needed to pay for the bottle water in the villa, there was this lady whose role is not clear to me asked me to pay cash. All these were not communicated when I made the booking. Basically the property is a private one, not related to the hotel. You can't expect a normal hotel experiece, need to figure out how...

'Total lack of politeness and helpfullness of staff. Nobody exceptmanager speaks english or tries to understand you. Upon checking they downgraded us to a cheaper forest room. We were not allowed to eat in 2 restaurants because we were white, they explicitely said. Food was below avarage and with loud movie Annie on background. Infested with mosqitos. Lake pool is just the dirty lake. Were not able to even get water in our room after trying for 1 hour because of lack of english and willingness to...

'We were 3 of only 5 people in the hotel so services were at a bare minimum, which sucked for us. The place looked fresh and new, which is hard to do as things age quickly in Vietnams climate. The room was delightful and comfortable. The bathroom was a wet room and well laid out. Don't sit on the side of the bath as it's held down and tipped up me which took a bit a work to rectify. Breakfast 1was terrible, with no menu to choose from it was just prepared and here's something to eat. Breakfast 2...
