"After a 24-hour journey, which included a 16-hour flight and transfers without sleep, we finally arrived at The Okura Hotel in Japan. Receptionist asked me to provide my credit card for the deposit. I explained that I would pay for the room in cash and use the credit card only for additional expenses. However, ignoring what I said, she tried to charge the full cost of the hotel to my credit card. I repeated that I wanted to pay in cash, and then she asked me to show them the cash. I did as they asked, but she said the payment had to be in yen. So I started exchanging my money for yen using the machine at the hotel. I had already exchanged about two-thirds of the room cost when the machine malfunctioned and failed to return my money. I informed them that the machine was not working and that only a small part of the payment was left. However, ignoring how exhausted we were, he said that the room would only be provided after full payment. He then gave us the address of an exchange office to convert the rest of the money. Exchanging the money took about several hour, and finally, after much stress and exhaustion, they gave us the room we had booked for eight nights. Whether what they did was right or wrong is for you to judge, but for us, it left nothing but a bad memory."

"Goede locatie, mooi hotel en leuk dat er een happy hour is tussen 17 en 18 uur waar je gratis wijntjes en biertjes kan drinken. Ik reisde met een vriendin en het bed was erg klein. Ook voor een koppel van Nederlands formaat zou het bed echt te klein zijn. Hotel is niet goedkoop en een kamer met groter bed zou 120 euro pn extra kosten ( in totaal zou de prijs dan iets meer dan 500 per nacht zijn). De laatste dag moedten wij om 7.30 richting luchthaven en dan kun je nog niet ontbijten, ook werd er geen alternatief geboden. Hier waren wij best teleurgesteld over. Tot slot, aan de receptie staat niet altijd iemand en soms staan ze er met meerdere en dan staan ze vooral onderling te kletsen. Ook moet je zelf op een Ipad al je gegevens in te vullen, iets wat ik altijd als zeer onprettig en ongastvrij ervaar. Misschien ben ik van de oude stempel maar voor hotels met deze prijzen hoort de service persoonlijk te zijn en met aandacht gegeven te worden. "

"Prijs/kwaliteit zeer goed hotel, vlakbij Hibiya line en snel bij meeste andere gebieden. 7-eleven en Family mart vlakbij. Kamer is compact, maar net groot genoeg voor 2 valiezen half open te doen en 2 rugzakken. Massagestoel werd elke dag minstens 1x gebruikt, echt leuke optie. Leuk dat je een pyjama hebt die elke dag wordt opgevouwen of zelfs ververst. 2 flesjes water per dag. Gratis koffie, tandenborstel etc. Enige jammere is geen (coin) laundry. Ze bieden laundry service aan, maar dit dan aan 500 yen per paar sokken, dan koop je er beter nieuwe."
