'The value for the price was acceptable. View was outstanding! Staff came and addressed a concern immediately. Bed was comfortable with nice linens and towels. The room is generally old and tired. Musty smell. It was not cleaned well. Carpet needs replacing and has lots of stains (don't want to go barefoot). Curtains are in disrepair. The shower has mold in the calk and grout and on the ceiling. Nice adds would be places by the bed to plug phones into, hooks for coats (it rains on Orcas and this...

'The ocean view and the location was fantastic. It was clean with the exception of rhe screen on the bathroom widow which had a very thick layers of dust and the deck railing was really needed cleaning... included numerous spider wed and green slime. And the one long chair pillow was wet and had bird poop. And the screens on both sliding doors need replacing as those are ripped. Though I would still rent it again.'

'Stay was good! Parking situation needs to be addressed as we had to park on the street. The other tenants took up both parking spaces. Didn’t enjoy the giant spider that came to visit us in the bathroom. Overall as expected. The couch in the living room is pretty uncomfortable to sit on. '

'We enjoyed an extended stay at Cowboy Cabin. It was great being out in a rural area, and we especially enjoyed watching hawks, swans, and other birds in the marsh across the street. The on-site staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Just know that this is an older building with dents and bruises, and the heating system could use a little attention. I'll bet kids would enjoy the cowboy decor and plenty of room to play in the large living room.'

'The house has great views and good backyard to relax. Though, we paid for cleaning and insurance, we had to clean the dishes as per the rule and there was no dishwasher as well.The AC did not work and very confusing to operate.There is another small room near the parking where someone lives or is private. We did not know about it before booking and should have been made clear.Overall, good place to stay but check out process is hectic and cleaning dishes is not what you want to do before...

'We' ve been travelling here from California and staying at this fine Birch Bay house for many years, usually in July. The house is comfortable and attractively furnished, comfortable bed, nicely functional kitchen, and amazing views. Note that there are no staples like mustard, ketchup, mayonaisse so if you need these items you'll have to purchase them and then leave them when you depart (if you are flying in from another state, like we are). The garden is lovely and the neighborhood charming...
