Wonderful quiet week at the beach

My 2 kids, husband, and mother-in-law enjoyed the cottage very much over a week in late August. LOVE that the very special, very quiet beach is only a 3-minute walk over a charming boardwalk through the dunes. We picked beach plums -- ask a local how to identify the ripe ones -- and made beach plum crisp, and took photos of all the lovely plants and flowers on the path. Delightful every day. The cottage is very comfy, tidy, and efficient -- though as with any rental I recommend bringing your own sharp knife and any other key utensils if you're picky when cooking. Recommend a beach tent of some type -- can get cool and windy at that time of year, so we'd set up to shield the breeze and still enjoy the sun.
