Please know that our dedicated groundskeepers work tirelessly to maintain the beauty of our surroundings, and while we strive to provide a pristine beach environment, the natural ebb and flow of the sea can occasionally bring traces of sargasso. We have periods of days, weeks or even months without a sign of it, and then confront its sudden arrival, virtually overnight. It is impossible to predict and is not particularly seasonal. We're delighted to hear your thoughts on our curated drinks and culinary selections. At Matachica Resort, we take pride in offering a gastronomic experience that reflects the essence of our unique location. We take note of your comments regarding the pricing in our bar and restaurant compared to local establishments in town. But it’s important to recognize that our food & beverage offerings go well beyond the menu itself. We are committed to providing a distinct and exceptional culinary journey that aligns with the spirit of our resort. Our kitchen team crafts dishes using produce from our organic farm at Gaia, and our fully equipped bakery ensures that our breads, pastries, desserts, pasta, and ice cream are created from scratch, providing homemade culinary delights on a consistent basis. Some days are better than others, but seemingly, your stay was badly affected. This is a natural phenomena that no one can be blamed for. It has been widely covered in international news, and most of our guests are well aware of the risk before they decide to come. Further, we have a clear notice of the situation on our website.
