'If you are looking to stay in an older Historic hotel with a great view give this one a try. The rooms are nicely finished and have as many modern amenities as one would expect. Your own private balcony is a real plus with views of the Ohio river and down town Madison. Walking to either is easy from this location as well if you so desire. The lobby is a neat tidy greeting place with it's own coy pond. Pictures of the original hotel in it's several iterations adorn the walls. One dating back to...

'Would stay here anytime we are in the area. Great staff!!'

'Loved the area, there was air conditioning, a place to go hiking, I took my e-bike down the lane and watched the cows come in. Definitely family friendly, pet friendly, cute cabin we stayed in. Did not meet the host, but I did meet his dad. There's a little kitten there we got to meet. Really liked it there.'

'Clean room'

'Didn't even turn on the TV because it was so peaceful and could only imagine the different types of people that has stayed there over the years.'

'Beutiful'

'Everything was great from the friendly helpful staff, convenient location, adequate room & well replenished breakfast.'

'Our door was crooked with a half inch of space open to the outside at the top, and sound and light were coming in from the hall. We requested another room. After moving all of our bags and our kids we realized the 2nd room had the same problem. Huge gap at the top of the door. Not sure why they can't mount a door flush with the frame but I've never had that problem at another hotel.'

'I thought it was in a good location 45 minutes to the ark encounter and about the same time to the Creation museum. There's a few historical towns near by like Vavay about 8 minutes away nice quaint town to visit and Madison is also a great old town to visit 30 minutes away. So yes absolutely I think it's a great place to stay you will not be disappointed.'
