'For a 1* pension hotel the room I had as a solo traveller was superb ! Good sized room, sink, fridge, and balcony was just perfect. Also the property has clearly been renovated as everything appeared new and the common WC/ shower rooms are very modern with a very hot power shower. Raphael and Carlos keep the property spotlessly clean and do a great job. I highly recommend Pension Alcala, but its best to try and book a room with a balcony '

'I never take the time to write a review but this time I will. Avoid that place! I arrived with exactly 12 minutes of delay at the door, called the number on the door and got somebody on the phone so rude that I thought he was drunk. He even dared to tell me that I should go elsewhere, if I can afford it! After endless discussion, he called the person of the reception and I could check in. During the rest of our stay, we never saw anybody at the reception, independently from the time. Absolutely...
