'I love this hotel so much. Location wise it was perfect. Our room was more than wonderful. New, clean, spacious, I would recommend it to everyone and I am a very picky person and a neat freak. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to lack of staff but we were sent to the sister hotel down the road and it was excellent!'

'The pod is very nice, clean and has a lovely view. Very near to Portree and all the restaurants, shops, etc. A perfect location to start exploring the island from. Breakfast is great (a cute tray with yoghurt, croissant, fruits for every table and on top of that you can order warm food from the menu) The people working there are very friendly. Unfortunately they are short of staff and you notice that. Breakfast takes a bit longer than usual, the restaurant was shut on one of the days we stayed...

'We absolutely loved our stay at Bowmore house. We booked the distillery view room. It was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, and we even got to sample the proprietary whisky. The staff kicked us informed of any possible issues with returning from the island via the ferry. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit.'

Ambitie is 1 michelin ster te behalen, maar dat is wellicht iets te hoog gegrepen. Niettemin: geweldig eten, met alle zorg die erbij hoort. Dit is een hotel waarin je aan het eind van een grauwe, verkleumende, morsige dag terugkomt en dan de typisch Schotse sfeer treft: een lobby met banken om in weg te zinken, een open haard die volop brand en dan een dubbele whisky. 'Great location right in Portree. Good food in the restaurant and there are many other restaurants within walking distance. Our room was right at the front of the hotel and there was some noise in the square but it did not bother us and I am a very light sleeper. Staff were really friendly and helpful. "Had a reasonable good stay at the hotel, the staff was really kind and helpful and the food was great. The price however is way too high for the state that this hotel is in. The furniture is old and damaged, the TV is small and the smart functions don't work properly. And last but definitely not least was the noise, we could hear every guest coming past our room, as our room was close to the dining area/bar. It woke us up late at night and early in the morning."
