'Huisje ligt op een mooie plek op een vakantiepark met verder voornamelijk stacaravans. Er zijn voorzieningen op het park (zwembad bijv tegen betaling). Vanaf het park is er ook een directe toegang tot het meer (Windermere). Het huisje is voor een gezin met 3 kinderen (1, 5, 7 jr) of meer dan 2 volwassenen echter wel vrij krap. Wij vonden het huisje niet zo schoon: het keukengerei was soms nog vies/vet, we vonden onder tafel vies ondergoed en sokken (?!). Ook waren er te weinig schone handdoeken....

'Beautiful location, nice and quiet. Perfectly presented, clean and cosy. Everything we needed for a cycling holiday. We stored the bikes in a garage. Stone throw from Hawkshead pub and shops. The owner is very friend and extremely helpful. The hot tub is quite a treat in the evening. '

'This place is not about the cleanliness or hygiene, it about getting back into the natural world, seeing Mother Nature at her best, taking advantage of the lovely wilderness. 'We had a great holiday at the lake's. The lodge was lovely, but somethings could be better, the freezer compartment was tiny, and iced over, so the door sometimes wouldn’t close properly, The beds were so comfy, hot tub was lush. We visited coniston lake for the first time, it was the hottest day, my daughter would have loved to have gone in the lake, but we never took costumes or towels, so they went on the self drive boats instead.
