'The location was perfect in the historic center near everything and the room was cozy and charming. The bed was comfortable. However, the carpet was not very clean and the bathtub was badly clogged and it took hours to get empty after a shower. We stayed there for two nights and the host promised to send someone to repair it, but it was never repaired, regardless our many messages and photographs of the problem. Not very pleasant in the heat of Portuguese summer.'

It was walkable to most areas and surrounded by lovely restaurants and Fado clubs. We had a few communication glitches, but all was resolved by check-in time. I would definitely recommend the Hidden Gem in Alfama to family and friends.'

They are easy and small. The bed are goods. The shower is nice, but the bathroom is really small. So you have to change in the room.'
