Echte Alaskan Log Home



Een vakantiereis naar Alaska is pas compleet als je in een echt Alaska Log Home hebt verbleven.

Onze houtblokken met grote diameter werden in Haines Alaska geoogst en naar Valdez Alaska vervoerd, waar een verbazingwekkende man met de naam Derrick (Serendipity Log Works) deze houtblokken met de hand schilde en schreef in wat ik wilde.
Maak een wandeling op en neer door onze hand gemaakt van alle traditionele tapstokken en schrijnwerk trappen gemaakt door een andere lokale geweldige man genaamd Josh (Precision Timberworks.)

Gevuld met levende planten en prachtige kunstwerken van over de hele wereld.
Ga met uw familie en vrienden rond de vuurplaats zitten. Kook uw dagen vangst op de BBQ en geniet van een grote keuken om uw herinneringen en maaltijden te maken.
Dompel de beugel in een klauwpootkuip (omstreeks 1900) en werd gemaakt door een beroemde lokale kunstenaar James Minden die geborgen metalen uit de Grote Aardbeving in Alaska uit 1964 gebruikte. Of loop een prachtige betegelde inloopdouche met kiezelvloer binnen.
Kruip in bed en onder een donzen dekbed na een lange dag spelen.

De bouw werd voltooid in het najaar van 2016. Hierna duurde het bijna twee jaar om het afwerkingswerk en het fijne detailwerk van het schuren en beitsen van houtblokken, het toevoegen van lokale kunst en het selecteren van meubels om dit huis zo comfortabel, gezellig, warm en gastvrij mogelijk te maken, uit te voeren.

Incredible place!

Unbelievable to find a place this beautiful in such a remote part of the world. Beautifully appointed, stocked with every amenity we could possibly want, and just a few minutes from downtown Seward in a gorgeous setting. We had a lovely time!

So beautiful and clean, the art work is amazing!

We had a great visit to Seward. The home was fantastic! Super clean and art treasures everywhere you look. I truly enjoyed the outdoor spaces also, the fire pit was great! My wife was impressed with the kitchen and prepared wonderful meals, the Safeway is just down the road. Super cool home!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was immaculate and beautiful. We especially enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and looking at all the beautiful wild flowers and tall majestic pines surrounding the property. Beds were super comfy, living area/loft was great for unwinding after a long day. Fully stocked kitchen was appreciated as we made several meals, as were the laundry facilities. Owner was fabulous. Would definitely recommend this gem.

Beautiful cabin and perfect location for our stay. It is the most uniquely decorated home I’ve ever seen, personalized with artwork by the owner and live plants everywhere…huge windows with lots of light. We loved it! The house is very clean and cozy with all the amenities…definitely not stingy with towels or toilet paper. I am so grateful we found this cabin for our second trip to Alaska. Thank you!

This might be the best place we have ever stayed. It was beautiful, clean and comfortable! None of us wanted to leave! My sister kept finding more things to love about the house all the time!! My favorite parts were the claw foot tub and heated floors!!! Absolutely anything you needed was there!! Excellent is an understatement!!! If we ever go back to Alaska we WILL stay here again

Seward - Escape to explore and fish

We spent 3 nights at the Alaskan Log Cabin. Beautiful location. 2 eagles graced our presence in the sky upon our arrival at the home. Lovely view, art work, comfortable beds... just a short drive down to Seward marina for our adventures. We enjoyed to s'mores at the firepit... and feeding the bird with the chopped peanuts left for us. Only suggestion would be more seasonings besides salt and pepper for cooking and a peeler for potatoes- as we did catch some fish that we prepared at the home. Safeway was just a 5 minute drive on the way to Seward.

This property was above what we expected. It had EVERYTHING you could possibly need. All of the small touches made us feel like well looked after guests in someone's home. Awesome. Everything as expected and more

I looked a long time for a nice place on the Kenai Peninsula. So many properties described as "authentic " or "rustic" really just meant "not that nice." This place was awesome. It was just me and my wife though this was a 3 bedroom. It was worth every extra penny. Close to Seward. Convenient enough for Soldotna. The owner had thought of everything. Beautiful decor. All the needed amenities. Roomy. True to the Alaska spirit. Clean. New. Spacious. Comfortable. Really....i can't say enough.

Family vacation in Seward Alaska

Our family had a wonderful stay at the cabin, with its generous windows and views. Meals were easy to prepare with the well-stocked kitchen. Washroom supplies were generous and the shower and tub design are great. The artwork is beautiful throughout. My daughter loved feeding the Stellar’s jay who visits the back porch. Very comfortable holiday cabin. Highly recommend!

Our group comprised of 3 couples loved this beautiful cabin. You could tell much thought and love went into every detail. We were impressed and fascinated with the Owners artwork. The location was great; tucked in the woods not far from the city.

A great place to stay for the Kenai peninsula

The cabin is amazing and very well appointed. We enjoyed watching eagles soar over the south balcony and feeding the Stellar Blue Jay peanuts on the back porch. Beds, bathrooms, and kitchen were all great for the 5 of us. It was nice to be out of Seward, but still close enough for conveniences. We felt spoiled to be in such a beautiful area and then able to come home in the evening to this fantastic cabin.

This home is like a resort lodge. Every detail is thought out and provided, location is great, and artwork throughout is beautiful. Has nice view when clouds are not consuming the surrounding mountains. This is a great place to use as home base while in Seward.

Stunning Cabin Experience

This is the second time we’ve had the opportunity to stay here. This time is was six friends staying the weekend in Seward. The cabin is phenomenal, with artistic treasures everywhere you look. From the kitchen equipment to the bathroom necessities Julie has thought of it all. I highly recommend the cabin for anyone who wants a great Alaskan experience.
