'Cute room. Peaceful location (except 81 traffic, but didn’t bother me). I never saw the host but didn’t need to. Just a little confusing when I arrived and where to go and I figured it out. Bed was very comfy. Loved the larger fridge with small freezer compartment for my ice packs. My Jackson looks like a nice town but the best restaurants seem to close at 6 pm so plan accordingly. More of a daytime town. Would be excellent for a weekend getaway!'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wash House! We were three adults and one baby. My daughter-in-law was participating in a conference at JMU, about a ten minute drive from the Wash House. We also did a lot of regional tourism. Trisha accommodated any and all requests that we made (baby equipment, etc.); we truly appreciated her help. 'We loved our overnight stay in the deluxe studio (no 5). We arrived to a spotlessly clean, well equipped apartment with lots of little touches to make our stay comfortable. The location is great - away from the town, but very quick to get to downtown. The historic Jefferson Monticello house and other historic sights were nearby but as we were short for time we made a priority of walking down the downtown mall in the evening and visiting the UVA especially the rotunda and the university chapel in...

'This cabin and host are fantastic. Perfect location for things around Harrisonburg and Staunton. Ferne and family are very gracious host. The cabin was stocked with anything we could never need and back ups of things if we forgot something. Beautiful view from the porch swing. Highly recommend! '
