'The amenities and location of the property made it a super comfortable and relaxing stay. It was beautifully designed and the view was great! (Worth the uphill climb and slight detour from the main shimanami kaido route!) Smooth and easy communication with the owner. Google maps location was accurate. Breakfast provided was decent. If you are staying in the property for more meals, bring more food along. Kitchen is well furnished. Will choose to stay here again!'

'We hebben hier in de luxe tent geslapen, de bbq is een echte aanrader. Prima service, goed uitgeruste tent met goede bedden en airco. Ontbijt is super en goede vriendelijke service.'

'Het hotel ligt ca 5 min lopen van het station en heel gunstig tov de ferry. Gunstig voor degenen die de Shimanami route willen fietsen (fietsverhuur is om de hoek en Yamato (bagage transportservice) ligt op de begane grond. Ontbijt is heel uitgebreid. Mooi uitzicht op het water.'

'Our stay at Shiomachi Roya in Tomonoura was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. I was impressed by the renovations done to turn this old merchant house into an inn. I liked the design and decor. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Because this particular house (Roya) has only 4 rooms to stay in, the staff are located at another sister inn literally just around the corner, one minute away. Everything you need is within walking distance in this small town. Staying here enhanced...
