'We were staying in the area for the weekend, with family and we wanted a property to suit two adult couples. The location on the canal, overlooking a lock and a stone's throw from the lovely village centre of Gargrave, was amazing. The property was newly finished, well equipped and very clean. We would definitely stay here again '

'This is not a luxury house. Cheap second hand uncomfortable furniture, a smelly oven that may not have been cleaned for years (if ever???) and crockery that we needed to wash before we used it. We are not fussy people, but clean and comfortable should be a bare minimum.... Worst of all though was a chirping smoke alarm on the first floor landing, indicating a dead battery.
