'This was exactly what we needed after a week of camping on our road trip - this place is so lovely, from the cabin itself (inside and out), to the big trees surrounding it, the pathway through the forest, the delicious breakfast and coffee, and of course the most relaxing bath/shower outside. Tara was so welcoming and was helpful highlighting spots around the island. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again soon! '

'The view is absolutely stunning! The property is more than it states. I will add a tiny bit more information. The driveway does indeed fit 4 cars. Just keep in mind that 2 cars will always be buried at the front and it’s a slightly curved in and slightly curved out. Pauline briefly mentions the little tram. However it was a game changer for our little group as you can unload and load less than 300lbs of luggage and groceries and with a person at the top to send it down and people at the bottom...

'Fantastic property with great hosts. Paul greeted me upon arrival with a quick briefing on the property, the amenities available (swimming pond, trails, bbq etc) and then promptly left me alone. The suite has a separate entrance and was very quiet. I would not hesitate to stay there again.'

'We enjoyed this property for 2 weeks in June-July, including the Canada day holiday. Large covered deck overlooking tidal lagoon is very relaxing. Enjoyed the Canada Day events in Sidney and riding bikes to Swartz Bay ferries for day trips. We may well return next summer. If we go again we would check tide table ahead of time for afternoon paddleboarding. Interior of property comfortable. '

'Amazing...a 3 star that is 5 star for nature lovers! Log cabins with kitchen and comfortable beds, real fire places with ample free dry wood topped up daily, view of the lake. 2 hot tubs and sauna, free access to plenty of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards any time you want, small but good size quiet lake with fish to catch, multiple docks with chairs and other access to swim. Eagles, deer etc all around. Suoer attentive and friendly staff on site. Office has tons of games and puzzles to use....

'This is the place for anyone who wants to escape the city crowds. Very nice unit and amazing host. We would love to stay at Carol’s place if we ever visited Victoria again. Close to the awesome Butchart Gardens, a must see attraction. '

'The lodge was located in a unique place, secluded in a woody area with a lovely garden. It has a large deck creating possibilities for a lovely morning breakfast, reading a book, enjoying the view of the garden or a long dinner in the evening (Summer time of course)'

'We had a great stay at Kathy’s place. The view is amazing and suite had everything we needed. It was Summer so we didn’t use the hot tub but I’m sure it would be great in the winter. '
