Historische hotels in Southeast Minnesota

'This place is elegant, and you feel the class as soon as you step thru the doors. Its nice they kept the historic hotel in such good shape for its age, along with newer amenities (rooms,restaurants/bars, shops, and even a spa). The only down side i found while staying was the trains that go by. They are loud, but its part of the reason the hotel was built back in 1875. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. 'the property was not worth the price. second bed was not a king as stated. pulling back covers revealed a hair ball causing guests to sleep in their clothes. heat in lower level was non existent … guests staying there also slept in clothes. Remodel was subpar; while we did not use shower/bath the remodel included corrugated metal tub surround. for around 800 for checkin at 2 pm and checkout less than 24 hrs later we expected more. '
