'As maturer visitors, we found that having only one handrail on the stairs was challenging. An extra handrail would help. Other than that it was a great stay. If we are to return to the area the Bosuns Chair would be our first choice. '

'Stayed for a couple of nights, wish we could have stayed longer! Room was bigger than expected, clean and lots of light, comfy bed,. Food delicious, cocktails and drinks great, staff friendly and welcoming and a besutiful setting by the river and lush gardens. Hope to return again. '

'Check in very smooth and lady at desk very happy and helpful, both rooms very clean and fit for purpose, room cleaned daily to a very good standard. Breakfast was plentiful and staff exceptional. All in all a lovely couple of days.

'Beautiful, old building set in lovely gardens. There was a lot of open space and the accommodation was well spread out. It was nice to have a terrace to sit and enjoy a coffee. The Spa was very nice but I can imagine it gets very busy at certain times of the day.

'We stayed in the Treehouse Suite and it was Amazing. Secluded, fabulous accommodation, all the treehouses have hot tubs and transport to and from in a golf buggy style car ( chauffeur driven ). Everything about the hotel was faultless and there’s NOTHING we would have changed. 10/10'

'Lovely rooms, very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Great place to stay with a dog as you can still have a very nice room can, dogs can eat in the main area with you, they even have blankets for them. Would definitely stay again.'

'Great location a short drive from a beach we found. There isn’t a lot near the hotel but it is accessible to the surrounding areas for visiting places by car or bike. The room was large and had aircon plus a huge Dyson fan which was a plus in the heatwave. King size bed and double aspect and tastefully furnished with tea, coffee and water. Couldn’t fault the room. We ate in the restaurant ( outside dining) which was great but I booked prior to arrival. The food was average, we had a steak which...

'Stunning hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. Housekeeping had left a little note by the bed, hope they liked their note when we left! Breakfast was amazing, great selection of food. Gardens were beautiful and having the walks across the road topped it off. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Kostas is a credit to you, amongst a few others, unfortunately didn't get their names. We will be back.'

'Very quirky property and we loved our one night stay. Extremely convenient for public transport (bus and ferry), shopping, dining, sightseeing etc.,. Super bar with LPs and memorabilia plus a robot to serve drinks! Shame the lift wasn’t working. Quite a lot of stairs and I thought it was going to be noisy because they are wooden and it was the end of Cowes week, but we had a very peaceful night. Can see us coming back to this place for a longer stay. '
