'Beautiful, old building set in lovely gardens. There was a lot of open space and the accommodation was well spread out. It was nice to have a terrace to sit and enjoy a coffee. The Spa was very nice but I can imagine it gets very busy at certain times of the day.

Met by the owner who was very friendly and helpful and shown to our room which was very pleasant and clean. A Dyson fan on the room was much appreciated on a very hot day. Comfortable bed, great shower and nice breakfast. No negatives. Would highly recommend.'

The only thing I want to mention is that I wish we could drop off our bags before check-in, but I understand the situation. Also, public transportation was a bit inconsistent, but that's not the hotel's fault—just something for travelers without a car to be aware of!'

'Stunning hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. Housekeeping had left a little note by the bed, hope they liked their note when we left! Breakfast was amazing, great selection of food. Gardens were beautiful and having the walks across the road topped it off. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
