'Fantastic stay . The hosts couldn’t do enough for us , very obliging , helpful , informative, friendly . Hotel is in a prime location with added convenience of parking . Breakfast was amazing , and the pastries to take away is such a nice touch / gesture . We will be returning back next year . '

'It’s a lovely pub with a nice atmosphere and really good breakfast. The staff were all so nice to us and went the extra mile to help us in different ways, such as making up the sofa bed, and giving advice on walking routes. Our room had a bath as well as shower which was brilliant. It was spacious. The bathroom has a sloping floor which is a bit strange but not a problem.'

'The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes'

'We had the family room which is a self contained place with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen-dining area, there was lots of room and privacy. It was clean and tidy. It’s right on the Coastal Path so it was perfect for us on a walking holiday.'

'Vicki and Mike are so lovely and welcoming! The room is very clean and spacious. Felt really comfortable staying, and it's relatively easy to get to, also close to Totland Bay/The Needles. Would highly recommend, and definitely stay again in the future when we visit Isle of Wight again.'

'The property was pretty central, walking distance to eateries and shops, good parking. Stuart was very welcoming and helpful, breakfast was your choice, plentiful, freshly cooked and my room was spotless, cosy bed and hot shower. I liked it a lot.'

'Overall ticks all the boxes . In some need of updating , decor , furniture . Mattress too soft for me , a topper or new one would be ideal. Parking was fine. An altercation with the owner and a guest at 1.30 am on my second night didn’t help my sleep . Whilst my room was next door to the entrance , and in all probability not the fault of the owner , regardless , there are other guests in the accommodation to consider. Overall decent for the price . '
