'The hosts were amazing!! They left us a bottle of wine and some trail mix and nuts upon our arrival. The house has spectacular charm and just sitting in the house for breakfast was a really treat.I highly recommend this rental, especially in the summer due to the very nice swimming pool in the back yard. I gave 4 stars because during our visit the hot tub was slightly low in water level, the water had a noticeable 'off' smell to it, was slightly turbid, and looked like it needed a good cleaning....

'Hosts were great, helpful and responsive. The Home is amazingly historic and so certainly has its limits, but it should not mean it cannot be warm and comfortable with decor and furnishings. There is no HVAC upstairs so space heaters were fussy to maintain and keep on with timers, etc. There is only two lamps in the home, so all rooms rely on ceiling fan lights - which are effective but do not allow a more relaxed evening or early morning atmosphere. 'This cottage is adorable! Very clean and close to cute shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay there and will be back. Easy drive to Hermann to shop, and enjoy wine tastings too. Had a hic-up, but the owners went above and beyond to do what they could. Very professional and helpful. This is a 5-star stay, all the way! '

'That was genuinely the coolest house I’ve ever stayed in! We had so much fun on our girls trip. The bedrooms were super clean and nice. The bathrooms were to DIE for! A perfect little getaway for the four of us. Definitely want to stay there again! The most CHARMING (and with good HVAC) historic home!'

'AWESOME TINY HOME. Everything you would want in a small package. Mara was wonderful and very quick to respond to everything....most accommodating and helpful. The tiny home was beautifully appointed, perfect amenities and well thought out. Very clean and the bed wonderfully comfortable. Makes me want to downsize to the simplicity of tiny home living...easy and carefree! A perfect romantic get away for 2 and well placed for antiquing and hiking at the State Parks. I will be back for sure!'
