'The Kress was an amazing surprise for my wife and I during a quick overnighter to meet up with some old childhood friends. I grew up in this area and the downtown district had been forgotten. It was great to see this place back to life. The Kress has done an excellent job restoring this old department store. The rooms are incredible with large common space and bedrooms. I wished we had booked an extra night. '

'We were pleasantly surprised by this little place. We were honestly just looking for a cheap place to lay our heads for the night on a long trip home. I’m usually very picky about hotels but on this trip we were on a tight budget and I was a little nervous when booking. However, this place was absolutely wonderful. 'The Inn is under construction it looks like it will be a while before they will get done. So consider this when booking. We checked in Friday to Sunday and they were working on weekends up to about 6 pm you could hear the banging. Our room looked clean but it’s outdated. Nice location, close to the lighthouse and restaurants. Parking was tight under the building but plenty spots in front of the hotel.'
