'This was a basic hotel, clean and well managed. It is close to shopping and restaurants. A little tough to figure out how to get into and out of the parking lot at first but not hard once you figure it out. Tiniest bathrooms I have ever seen! Not big enough for the sink to be in the bathroom with the toilet and the shower. Shower is standard size but with the door and the toilet, very tight if you are not a small person.'

'We were in town for our daughter’s college graduation. We were able to check in early. That was great for my daughter to get ready for the graduation. The staff was so nice and helpful. The room was clean and looked new. We loved it. It was convenient t to the Blue Cross Arena, the venue for the graduation. I am handicap. There was ample parking for us. I would stay here again. 'This is an unique experience for us. There is no traditional lobby or reception area. All entrances are managed by electronic keypad. The staff coordinated with us through the text messages for daily cleanup and other needs. The hot tub does not have soap, shampoo and no place holder for one we brought. I will stay again but I wish there is a soap holder. Parkign is easy. The place is well maintained but bed, mattress and carpet could use more cleaning or even new ones.'

A couple of suggestions: You might tell people who are using the third floor that their window will be blocked by an unmovable quilt so as to protect them from viewers in the parking lot. You might also think of putting a clock in the room. There was no closet in our room, only a meager frame for hanging a single garment. 'We stayed here for two nights. We really enjoyed the historic hotel and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable in the King bedroom we stayed in. The room was adequate in size for us. My husband fell in love with the robe! He actually wore it to sleep in because it was so soft and cozy! 'This hotel was exceptional from top to bottom. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always present and smiling. The hotel breakfast as a feast. There was a surprise happy hour with food and drink Monday through Wednesday. Patio and river view/access added to the stay. Very handy to the University of Rochester and to the Strong Hospital. 'The lady at the front desk was very sweet, however spin entering the E unit, there was what appear to be feces dripping down the floor door. When we got to our room, it was also not clean. There was what appeared to be peanut shells on the bathroom floor and definitely remnants from someone's meal on the bedside table. We left early as it felt unsanitary.'

'Pleasant stay wish I would've booked it for longer'

'My room was not cleaned. I asked at 3:36pm for my room to get cleaned and they stated that it would be clean before 10:30pm. I find that weird. I left my room at 8:30pm and I came back after midnight and it wasn’t cleaned. The next day I left at 8am for a track meet and came back at 3pm. My room was still not cleaned even though they were servicing the room next to me. The pool was down for maintenance. 'I had a very disappointing stay at the Econo Lodge in Rochester, NY. The room was extremely dirty—there was hair all over the bathroom sink, the towels were stained, and the bed sheets also had visible stains. The floors weren’t clean, and the microwave was in a filthy condition. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless they make major improvvements.'

'Room 1 had hair(animal and human) on the floor, bed, and bathtub. No covers on the bed and questinably clean bedding. Staff gave us another room with sticky floors and Counter surfaces and questionably clean bedding. Neither room had cooking utensils as advertised. The entire building smelled of marijuanna. A full refund was given and reservation cancelled.'
