'My husband, son, daughter in law, niece and her husband had a 3 day fishing trip planned nearby. I suggested this place rather than a hotel so the family would be more comfortable and be able to visit during non-fishing time (something separate hotel rooms just doesn't accommodate). The house was absolutely PERFECT for their trip. Bonita was very communicative (giving very detailed directions as well) and was kind enough to give them an extended check out time when I messed up the reservation...

'The house is very nice and well supplied with everything we needed: beautiful porch, lots of amenities, altogether very comfortable! 5 min. from the General Store and less than 10 from the state park entrance. It was a perfect base for day hikes. The host was attentive but not intrusive.'

The amenities were what we needed, and being able to walk up and around the property was a nice bonus, too. We did not open a laptop once, which tells you how relaxed and unplugged we were. The owners were also very quick to answer questions through VRBO, and we had a splendid weekend stay.'

'The property is so beautiful. We walked the trails several times a day. Our dogs had a great vacation. They loved the freedom of the place. We heard the flying squirrels and were lucky enough to have one float past the window. Nearby we enjoyed the Grayson Highlands State Park. We did a short hike and got to see some wild ponies. The home is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner wants you to have a great experience.'

'What a great place! Peaceful and quiet. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Unfortunately it rained all weekend so we couldn’t hang outside by the fire pit but the screened in porch is a nice extension of the home. The hosts reached out to make sure everything was going well and it was. There is a gas station/cafe around the bend and the cafe has really good food, especially for breakfast. The gas station has hunt brothers pizza and that was good as well....
