Perfect location, but the service wasn't great. The window in the room could not open and there was no parking place. The people at the counter were badly informed.

This property has an excellent location to downtown , to go to the malls, to the harbors, aquariums, maritine museum, Saint Andrew church, restaurantes, to go to Paddy's market, Central trainn station , just two walkable blocks from the hotel and just 4 station to get to the International airport as well to the domestic airport station. AU $18 the ride & if you want to go by bus about AU$3 to go to the airport. Light train just next door. I strongly recomend it. It is located in Chinatown.

Booked one night as I took my two daughters to Sydney to see a show. Appreciated that we could all stay in the one room but in separate beds. Easy 10 minute walk to ICC where the show was held. Plenty of dinning options around us, Starbucks and Paddy's Markets.

This is one of the very few hotels that offers 3 separate twin beds in a central location. Although there's no wifi connection in our unit, hotel staff was able to rectify the issue by giving us a portable wifi.

Convenient for easy access to key areas in Sydney I wanted to visit. The rooftop ok although small was a nice bonus. I would not recommend the breakfast option due to price and quality .

Our stay at Metro Hotel Marlow was great. The location is very convenient - close to transport, walkable distance to main attractions. The hotel itself is a bit dated but very comfortable, rooms are quite spacious. Bed ok but not overly comfortable, shower pressure is pretty good:) It is definitely a good value hotel

The internet is unreliable in the rooms and only usable in the lobby. The lobby has just two couches so seating is scarce. It is an older hotel but does have what you need, a pillow and bed and a bathroom.

I've stayed here before so I always know what am I paying for. Decent room, nice bed to sleep in and great location. All staff are lovely from reception to house keeping. Some improvements is the cleanliness of the room and vacuum under the bed. I dropped my watch and it fell under the bed. There I saw a lot of dust and debris.

When we checked in, one of the beds was broken so we got moved to another room. The new room was slightly bigger. Air conditioner barely worked, which sucked because the weather forecast was 40°C. Room cleaning wasn’t good, had to request cleaning. The washroom setup was odd, it was awkward to wash face at the sink and the toilet was too close to the wall (I’m 6’1). Location was good, walking distance to shopping and food, but that’s about it.

The location is great. Close walk to train stations and in the heart of Chinatown. Maybe we just had a stroke of bad luck, but we weren't able to use the bath in our bathroom because there wasn't a bath plug which was really annoying and the rubber bathmat had mould stains. The bath tile walls were stained as well - but with old bathrooms like this it's hard to get stains out no matter how hard you clean which is understandable. The following day the cleaners replaced our dirty towels etc .. which was great, but they forgot to leave us some facecloths which we really needed ... because we arrived back to the room at 1am we were too tired to deal with it, so we washed our faces with the hand towels instead. We usually leave positive feedback if our overall experience was good despite some minor let downs, but because this property was alot different than the photos advertised on the website and we were "surprised", we wanted to let other people know just in case they are surprised too. We were really happy to have booked a room with 3 single beds as that isn't easy to find in some hotels. So that was a bonus.

Booked our room due to it stating there was a king sized bed. Room did not have long sized bed. Spoke to staff regarding this and they said that style room doesn't have king bed. Showed them our booking which clearly stated king bed and had pictures of king bed! Tv near lift also advertised our room with king bed along with pictures. Staff continued to say no king bed. Offered to make up sofa couch which was extremely uncomfortable but husband slept in it. Myself and two toddlers slept in queen bed. Could feel springs in mattress and mattress dipped in the middle. Also extremely uncomfortable. Room hot even with aircon on constantly. No internet service in room, advertised wifi throughout hotel. Fridge warm on arrival. Would not stay again or recommend to anyone.

Made to feel very welcome from checkin to checkout staff at metro look after guest as if you were royalty awesome service and staff at breakfast buffet big breakfast selection value for money WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE 👍👍👍😁😁😁

Convenient but run down
The hotel is convenient for Haymarket, but it’s basic and lacks some TLC. Rooms are dusty, bathrooms have a bot of mould in them, beds are worn and sink, the sheets provided had old blood stains on them. The body wash provided to us had one tube half used.
