'Love staying at Skye Suites on our annual visits to Sydney as the service always feels personal and nothing is ever too much. The room was ready first stay hours earlier and the following weekend not quite, so we left our bags and went off for lunch. 'Our stay at the Sheraton (couple with a 6yo) was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back. Our highlight was the buffet breakfast. Huge variety, barista-made coffee, made to order omelette station, fresh juice… the list goes on! A very pleasant way to start the day.

I would like to give special praise to Po who is the receptionist at the Breakfast Room. Not only warm and welcoming but she remembered me and my granddaughter from a visit a month ago!! 'We stayed at the hotel for a short week; the location in the middle of sydney business district was excellent! Only 15 mins (pleasant) walk to opera house, train station and bridge. The airco was showing a lot of dirt in in & outlet which gave us an unpleasant impression. Also missing a backing pan so no scrambled egg with bacon in the morning :-('

"I was expecting something different when I booked a hotel with 4,5 stars. It's that definitely not worth that many. The lobby and restaurant are stunning, but the rooms are definitely out-dated and not worth 4,5 stars. The furniture is extremely old and some have locks, which is weird since I'd like to use the furniture in my room? The bathroom was also very old and out-dated. Our conditioner was empty after 1 shower (we were 3 people, 1 person used the conditioner). We were so kind and practical to write 'Empty' on a piece of paper and stuck it in the holder of the conditioner so housekeeping would notice. They ignored or didn't see it TWICE. I mean can we make it any easier for you? Do have to mention that I loved the staff at the reception, they really saved our stay with their kindness and helpfulness. We went down to ask for more conditioner (and by that point also body wash) and they had housekeeping bring us replacements for all the products (5 different in total). But housekeeping did not replace them during our stay, they just left the new ones in the bathroom where we had put them and left the old ones, empty ones, in their holders. Otherwise we did always get towels and the beds were made properly.
Overall an okay experience, if you're used to a 4,5 star hotel being luxurious though, I'd recommend you go somewhere else since this is more of a 3 star hotel in my opinion as a frequent traveller. "
