Luxe hotels in Tahoe Donner

'Location is great. Property is a little quirky. Rooms are fine, my only complaint is the bathroom. Sink with hardly any space to leave toiletries, and a very plastic showercurtain. Staff was welcoming on arrival. '

'The property itself is gorgeous but the real bonus is the amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable mattress, quiet in the evening, Dry Sauna very enjoyable, on-site restaurant a bit pricy but delicious food and great wine list. Easy access to historic downtown Truckee and on the route for TART (free transportation for the North Lake Tahoe-Truckee area) Only "downside" was that the WiFi in the room was slow, so using streaming services on the TV was difficult. But that actually helped us...

'The pools are great!'

'Loved our stay here. It was very peaceful and the reception staff were very friendly. They were great with communication and instructions. We got to our cottage after hours and it was a smooth check-in with the instructions emailed to us. The cottage is very comfy and spacious.It was about a 10 min drive to everything like downtown Truckee and it said 15/20 min to Palisades Tahoe but felt like less. '
