Goede hotel
Leuke villa met fijn zwembad, nadeel is wel dat alles een beetje verouderd is. Riool lucht in de kamer die niet weg te krijgen was, kwam door de afvoer na boven. Hier dienen ze iets aan te doen. Het is een goed hotel maar niet 5 sterren waardig meer een 3 sterren hotel. Personeel is top, super lief en behulpzaam.

Nous avons séjourné 2 jours a priori en basse saison pour la maison, tous les services n'étaient donc pas disponibles. La chambre était confortable et propre mais un certain nombre de détails seraient a revoir pour correspondre à cette gamme d hébergement : bonde de douche cassée et remontées d'odeurs, toilettes calées avec un bout de carton, porte fenêtre qui ne ferme pas, extérieurs non entretenus. A priori le propriétaire nous a expliqué que la saison démarrait en mai et a notre départ le jardin commençait à être nettoyé.

Très chouette et confortable
Accueil sympa avec thé à la menthe dans un joli salon. Chambre hyper spacieuse et confortable avec un lit version xxl, climatisation, jolie décoration, belle salle de bains avec double vasque et baignoire encastrée. Terrasse privée donnant sur la piscine (malheureusement fermée). Parking privé fermé. Petit déjeuner sympa dans le patio sous la vigne et les cognassiers.

First we are happy that you appreciate our clean guest house.For the tax of 2.8 € we charged its stipulated in the reservation .You ask for a dilevery and the dilevery man who bring you the food charges you the service .We are not concerned by a service you have asked for.For the touristic taxi you asked for at 6 am we give you the phone number of the taxi and inform you about the price nothing else but you prefer to look for another way of transfer.But just notice that you didn't pay the mineral water you asked for to the guest house So we consider that its not an appropriate behaviour .its explain all about one night stay in great guest house inTangier.Please when you pass through Tangier next time pay the money you owe to us.

Very pretty guest room. Hotel staff was mixed emotions. The reception guy was very friendly and helpful. The woman was a little dry and could have been friendlier. Location was nice, but 5 minutes from the busy area, but price was good.

Inquire about staff availability prior to booking
I booked this location hoping for a quiet stay but we would have had a much better experience at a larger facility. On several occasions, there was not a single staff person present. On our final night, I informed the driver that we needed to be at the ferry by 8 am the next morning. We went to the lobby at 7:45 am and no one was present. There were no phone books or taxi listings available on site. We waited until 8:10 am, when I called the house's phone line (after looking up my booking online) to tell them no one was present to take our final balance. I was told someone would be there in 5 minutes and then they hung up. We waited until 8:17 am and then walked down the hill with our luggage to get a taxi. En route to the ferry, the driver ran down the taxi and pulled us over, requesting our balance (which included the transport from the house to the ferry that had not been provided). We paid our balance in cash. We ended up missing the 9 am ferry and had to purchase tickets for the next ferry at noon - another 90 Euros.

I want to inform you that you have agreed with our driver to drop you at the port of Tangier city at 10 am and you get out of your room at 7 hours 45 hours to claim that you are late and your ferry departs at 8 am and not at 10 am We are really sorry for this misunderstanding which I think was due to the time slippage and that was 2 hours with Europe. Beautiful place, awkward airport pickup
Beautiful guesthouse! We appreciated the latenight pickup at the airport (we were delayed and didn’t arrive till after 2 am). However, I wish I would have asked the price in advance—50 euros! Very expensive by Moroccan standards. The driver had a tiny car with no trunk, so we three passengers had to squish together. Each of us had one carryon case and one backpack, but the gentleman whom the driver called to translate in English commented that there was little room because we had an excessive amount of luggage. The driver was kind and helped carry our luggage, but I would think for a 50 euro airport transfer, the car would be more suitable for travelers with luggage. But the guesthouse was beautiful and spacious, the staff kind, and the breakfast very good! Wish we could have stayed longer. I’d recommend guests who need airport service to make it very clear beforehand the price, the number of passengers, and the amount of luggage they expect to have.

Yay Malabata !
The place/room/ gardens/pool/ furniture are beautiful and show case the flavors of Moroccan art and design. Sets the mood for a visit to Morocco! The service was very attentive and flexible. (e.g. the breakfast was served at a time that complimented my travel plans each day). The location was great. Enjoyed the guest house very much.

Nous sommes désolé que vous n'ayez pas apprécié notre maison d'hôte, nous avons compris que votre mari avait un problème d'azhme et donc ne supportait pas l'odeur du bois sculpté de nos portes traditionnelles.Nous espérons que pour vos choix prochains ne choisissiez pas des maisons avec une architecture traditionnelle et que vous optez plutôt pour des hôtels standards avec une architecture moderne. scelto l'hotel come notte di appoggio dopo l'arrivo del traghetto a Tanger Med. Come previsto, il controllo alla dogana ha fatto dilatare i tempi arrivando oltre l'una di notte. nei giorni precedenti l'hotel era stato informato di questa possibilità ed erano state chieste garanzie di accettazione a tarda ora, garanzie concesse. In effetti il proprietario stava dormendo e solo dopo un po' di tempo ha aperto il cancello d'ingresso. E' il periodo del Ramadan e non c'è molto turismo (come verificato anche nei giorni seguenti) ed eravamo gli unici clienti. All'interno questo piccolo hotel è molto bello con arredamenti e rivestimenti veramente notevoli. Il proprietario si è mostrato disponibile la mattina seguente a risolvere i problemi di connessione wi fi presentatisi. Colazione modesta. Abbiamo pagato un importo delle tasse locali superiore a quello indicato sulla prenotazione.

Amazing stay at Malabata guesthouse
The stay was amazing. Driss and Naima the owners, Hassan and Hadija the staff made our stay superb. We had many interesting and insightful conversations, Hadija made excellent dinners, Si Driss took us to travel around the town - we were extremely lucky to choose Malabata guesthouse, and we feel we've made friends for life.

FABULOUS! Highly Recommended
A beautiful, traditionally decorated building with large, comfortable rooms. Our hosts, Driss and Naema, made us very welcome and could not do enough for us. After meeting us at the port, Driss gave us tea and helped us plan our itinerary with no pressure. We had an idea of where we wanted to go so he made his driver, Hassan, available to us which saved us worrying about taxis. He also arranged a private tour to Chef Chaouen for us. Breakfast was a wide selection of breads and traditional Moroccan pastries and we were invited to request anything else we wanted, like fruit. Although there is no restaurant nearby, Naema cooked a wonderful, traditional dinner for us, at a very reasonable cost. Although this location is a little far from the Medina and city centre, it is a pleasant 45min walk along the new promenade or their driver can take you there in 10 minutes for less than the cost of a taxi. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when returning to Tangier.

Un véritable plaisir du début à la fin ...
Il s'agit d'une maison d'hôtes pleine de charme, située dans un quartier résidentiel de Tanger, proche du centre (3 min en voiture). Etant un peu excentré cet établissement propose un cadre très reposant, c'est ce que nous recherchions. Le stationnement est gratuit juste devant l'établissement. L'accueil du propriétaire Idriss à notre arrivée fut très chaleureux, avec thé et pâtisseries marocaines. Nous avons été surclassé dans une chambre triple, sans aucun frais supplémentaire, afin d'être plus à l'aise avec notre bébé, il s'agit d'une attention très rare et qui mérite donc d'être soulignée. Cet établissement n'a rien à envier aux traditionnels riads marocains, je dirais même qu'il propose de meilleurs prestations (chambres, piscine, petit déjeuner) que tous ceux dans lesquels nous avons pu séjourner. La décoration est très réussie, les chambres très bien équipées et le petit déjeuner riche et varié. Enfin, le personnel, des propriétaires aux employés sont d'une gentillesse remarquable et se montrent toujours très professionnels. Un sans faute du début jusqu'à la fin.

An excellent experience
My husband and I live in Morocco and have been to quite a few riads, and the Malabata Guest House is excellent. It is very clean and located in a very quiet (yet still convenient) location. The owners are very personable and will help you with your every need.

This is a lovely guesthouse hosted by the owners. It is absolutely amazing. Every detail is stunning. Private suite with bath. Gorgeous!!! The hosts are so helpful. They prepared an amazing breakfast for us. You are truly taken away from the normal hotel experience to an actual Moroccan experience

Foul play? You be the judge
We were greeted by the owner Driss Semlali, who told us to put our bags down while he made us tea. He asked the taxi to wait. Driss told us that there was a problem and that Expedia never confirmed the reservation with him, so he didn't have any rooms available, but he was working on a solution for us. So, While we were waiting, he told us all the wonderful things about his guest house that we wouldn't be taking advantage of Shortly after, his phone rings, he has a brief conversation in Arabic. He then says to the person on the phone "I'm going to talk in English so that everybody understands. I will pay you directly, so they are all set to stay there" We get back in the taxi, without a say as to our new plans. We arrive at the hotel and it is not nearly as nice as what we had already paid for. We were not happy about this situation. The woman at the desk showed us a room with twin beds. We asked her what she normally charges for the room because we didn't think Driss was being completely honest with us. She promptly offered to upgrade us no questions asked to a larger suite that was double the price on their website. Driss, said this was the second time that this had happened and he was very upset about the issue and would be calling expedia. It is 2 weeks later and I just called expedia. I was told there was no record of Malabata guest house every having contacted them. Suspicious? We'll let you be the judge.

Finding solution to inhonnest persons is not right .For sure when you receive someone who didn't take care seriously to fix his travel serve him tea use your phone to find him solution where to spend a night .all this if we call it in our culture generosity and responsability Nicholas from N.Ycall it inhonnesty.so even if malabatavguest house didn't confirm any resrvation for this person and isnot responsble for his stay, makes all the necessary contact and find him a room in special high season in Tangier .our man is not satisfied ,still young to evaluate such a work and recognise the high level of proffesiency to help others.he must judge himself about what we have given him as time and disponibility and friendship and be carefull before pronouncing wrong sentences.About the price he must know that the price of the other guest house is higher than ours and we support the difference .these kind of travellers for one night cannot be trusted to inform neither about reality and helpful culture of morrocan people nor about an experience they dont merit in real palace called malabata guest house.semlali driss the owner

The guest house is a new and original experience not like hotels or motels .The guest house are normally managed by the owners .Our price are very competitive if you have time do please a comparison with others and don't forget the services we offer the pool the gym and parking gratis ans the strategic emplacement .For the internet a problem can happen in every country and in every hotel.In extraordinary situations we have certain connection at the reception. We do our best to make our clients happy.

When my family and I stayed MGH we never left like we were guests at a hotel. We left we were the personal guests of Driss and nahima. They were warm and welcoming and their sincere hospitality started at the ferry station the moment we landed in Morocco. Traveling for the first time to Africa with three kids, we were concerned of safety for all. MGH eased our conerns by answering our many questions and taking the additional steps such as arranging a top notch, government approved tour guide and meeting us personally when we landed in morocco. Logitics aside, the MGH was AMAZINGLY beautiful. We felt like we walked into Arabian nights palace. It was exquisite! Also, food was scrumptious- both breakfast and dinner. This was more than we normally spend, but well worth it.
