Loved it!
We all really enjoyed it and didnt want to leave! Very nice and tidy caravan, and the deck was amazing to just chill and relax on! Kids had a ball and did not want to leave! Would definitely book again and recommend to others 😊

Great stay with a beautiful view
Was very nice, I could’ve spent my entire time at the camper it’s right near the beach with an incredible view. I couldn’t open the propane take to use the stove inside the camper but the barbecue worked just fine. The checkout process was easy & because my bus didn’t leave till later in the day, liz allowed me to hangout in the outside area of the camper which was nice. Big patio area to sit & lounge. The amount of the extra camping spot price that I had to pay when I got there was a bit of a surprise. An extra 85$/day.

Was excited about being in a caravan after many years. Found though that the contents of the cupboards were disorganised. Window catches need a few repairs. Gas cooktop was hard to light. It needed an outside flame or match to light it. Bbq worked well. Overall a good break away

Do not book this caravan
Dirty, falling to bits, ants, stunk like un flushed number twos, owners or someones personal belongings in drawers and cupboards. Drawer handles perished or rusting under the chrome plating. Toilet paper and what looked like urine in the shower plughole. I doubt this caravan has been cleaned properly for years. Grit and flattened popcorn on the floor, grass clippings and other debre on the underblanket. Light fittings missing covers, perished blinds, mosquito shades on roof vent and some windows are broken, mould on inside of bathroom cupboard and wall behind the sliding door. The awning area is actually nice but the salt air has rusted all metal joints. Bottom glass plate on oven gaffa taped to bottom of oven door. Dust on shelving, hair and caked grime on back of TV and TV cord. Split opening top and bottom entrance door can't be opened its cable tied together and door doesnt shut neatly. Once you arrive owner suggests not using the toilet and bathroom, we are old people and booked THIS BECAUSE it had a toilet and bathroom. Photos of it on this site make it look nice. It's really shabby and overpriced AND then you have to pay the camp per person for each night. Cost me approx $$$ for 2 nights. Late 4pm check in 10 am check out. Iv taken photos. I'd like a refund. Can not recommend. Camp staff advised they have told the owner about these feedbacks. Does not deserve to be on this site. Im still waiting for a refund.

Great van and annex with a view to kill for - the beach was just metres away and access was so easy - saw a penguin on the beach which really topped off our stay

Really liked the large awning and deck area with spectacular view of the ocean. Perfect place for a family get together with great deck and outdoor furniture. Glad they had changed the awning bed to a Queen. Very comfortable

Great position
Great overnight stay - sadly we arrived 8 hours later than expected (car trouble) and so it was pitch black and we had to fumble around to find the lights. I had not read the blurb properly so missed the $30 per person camp fee. Oh dear. Lovely to hear the surf. Facilities spotless.

Nice caravan and location however I didnt know much about caravans and there was no-one to show me how power goes on, how to use toilet etc. It would have been nice to have had someone air it out first as it smelled very musty with being closed up. It was also very dirty floors etc so not sure if it was cleaned between stays.

Beachside Bliss
We stayed here as we had a function at the Pap Tav to attend which was within walking distance which was great. Beautiful well equipped caravan, a stones throw to the beach. Toilet block nice and close (the caravan does have a working toilet and shower we just chose not to use it) would absolutely stay again and bring the kids next time :)

Good location, lovely views and literally 50 steps to the beach. Good communication from the batch owner. Spotless amenities and very good communication from the Resort management. Just be aware you have to pay both Book-a-Batch fee as well as a Resort fee.

WORST RECEPTION EVER
Never received any communication from the owner of caravan until 8pm the night before I left, despite several attempts to contact her. Arrived at the holiday park and was made to feel extremely unwelcome by the manager, she had a very unpleasant attitude & large chip on her shoulder, seemed to have an issue with the owner of the caravan saying she had not communicated with them, checkout was advertised for 11am but was told rudely to “you need to get out by 10am”, I asked where to park was told “not my problem”, to top it off she slapped the keys down on the counter and said “good luck”. Due to this I decided not to stay, didn’t even unlock the caravan, as I was very upset & very uncomfortable, returned the key amid a barrage of abuse from the manager who followed me out to my vehicle and harassed me until I left. My husband rang the owner of the caravan who was furious due to the treatment I had received, she told him the park had recently changed ownership with new staff who had no idea how to run a business, she said she had been in contact by email, but due to no communication between the staff, no one knew I was even arriving. Owner was very apologetic and promised us a full refund, we waited over three weeks to be finally told she would only give us a 50% refund, we asked why and was ignored. Absolutely disgusted with the owner and the caravan park. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

No sheets no towels!! Wasn't told we needed them till check in day ugly old duvets on bed with ugly lifeless pillows then over the top camping ground fee for 1 night I feel ripped off then we're told to clean up before we leave never again not happy

Idyllic spot
We stayed in this idyllic caravan listening to the sound of the waves and watching the surf roll in for one night. Everything is neat and clean. Chemical toilet and dinky shower. Shame we couldn’t stay longer. Be aware the fees from the Papamoa resort where the caravan in located cost us $60.

Recharge!
A very restful relaxing get away. A great location, everything one would need within walking distance. The camp itself providing a terrific service. The cleanliness of the whole camp, the buildings, the ablution blocks , kitchens, grounds. Plenty of easy access to the beach and the life guards for sea fun. The staff very friendly, courteous and helpful. thank you for a lovely break and a recharge, ready for the new year!!

Great location
Could not ask for a better location, overlooking the beach and great ocean views. The camp facilities were top class, toilets, showers and kitchen were always immaculate clean. We only discovered 2 days before our stay that we had to pay site fees on top of what we paid for the caravan which was a bit of a shock to the finances. The caravan we stayed in really needs some maintenance, some lights didn't work, couldn't get oven grill working, zips on the awning ripped and there were cockroaches EVERYWHERE! Expected a bit better for the price we paid. The owner Liz was pleasant and helpful and overall we had a great time.

This is a lovely spot to be staying. It did seem a little dirty probably due to being shut up. It was disappointing to discover the cost of camp fees on top of what we had already paid for the accomodation. Overall lovely spot but we felt it could have been a bit cleaner and it was an expensive weekend by the time you add the cost of renting then camp fees on top.

Don't book in winter! Freezing cold and heater keeps tripping electrical circuit - nightmare setup
Awesome location but definately would not recommend staying here in winter. The caravan itself can only handle a couple of electrical items on at once. We had the heater, lights and the tv going and it kept tripping the circuit. My husband had to continually go outside in the rain to reset it. We gave up on watching the tv just so we could keep the heater going as it was freezing. Definately wouldn't advise anyone booking this place in winter. The camp staff were good and replaced the outside circuit breaker but that didn't make any difference. The owners said well "this is camping" and there are extra blankets there. This resolution to the continual problem was not appreciated. If the owners are going to rent this caravan out in winter I suggest they resolve these issues or they will have many more unhappy customers.
