'Superb pub and rooms steeped in local history - Robert Plant started his career here playing blues guitar aged 15 in the upstairs blues club (sadly not there anymore but the history is palpable). The pub is a treasure trove of history, and so well preserved, from the original staircases and ceramic tiling on the walls, to the original bar. My room was just sheer excellence. 'This hotel is a hidden gem! The host, Maria, is truly wonderful. Her attention to detail is fab, and she couldn't be anymore helpful and welcoming. Maria stayed late for my colleagues check in and then came in early to accommodate us for an early breakfast. The dinner was divine - strongly recommend the tikka curry. Home cooked, beautiful meal. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I will ensure I book here when I visit Birmingham again!!!'

'Very friendly staff, easy location with enough parking. Very comfortable beds and shower. To get better i would like it if there where 2 chairs in the room in stead of 1, and there was no fridge. The room was clean and enough tea and coffee. There is a Tesco and Costa coffee and other places on walking distance.'

'Lovely property for a night or two stay. Staff were very nice. I had 2 drinks at the bar. One at night which was calm and quiet & relaxing on my own. Then complimentary coffee in the lobby once again really nice and relaxing. I slept fairly well and felt safe on my own. Bathroom had hair on the sink but wasn’t enough to complain as the rest was very clean. Walls could do with a referb as stains were on the wall. But overall a lovely hotel and having lovely reception staff and accommodating...

'het hotel is groot gebouw en ziet er goed onderhouden uit. het is wel typusch engels stene buitenkant hout van binnen dit houdt in houten vloeren als men op de gang staat te praten hoor je deze het lopen zelf heb ik niet goed gehoord onbijt engels gebakke ei roer ei champignons bacon wortsjes tomaat en bake beans en continental deze bestaat uit brood croisants chocobroodje en diverse jams en boter geen ham of kaas fruitsalade niet vers. zwembad en de fitnes sauna stoomruimte is ideal. la...

'Great location to where I needed to be. Cadburys world is 3 mins away and the hotel restaurant serves really nice food and roast on Sunday. '

'Lovely well appointed rooms, very clean and the bed was very comfortable! Shower head didn’t look like it would give a great shower but actually was quite powerful. The breakfast buffet was perfect- lots of choice all excellent quality and now im going to have to buy a waffle maker for home! Would definitely stay again, perfect location for the arena which was why we were In birmingham. Highly recommend'

'We love the hotel. Staff were really friendly. Great location for the ICC and the Arena. Easy parking and everything is well looked after. Only thing we found was we were expecting there to be a fridge but there wasn’t and there was no toilet brush in the bathroom. Other than that we had a great stay and would stay again'
