'We arrived early and George was giving perfect service at valet parking. A pitty that at 4 pm the suite was still not ready for check in. Lady at reception was not so understanding/ service oriented. However, George was doing a great job with his bar tender at the rooftop bar. We had a great evening and perfect stay. The rooftop outlook is great. Room 351 is spacious, clean and comfortable for staying as a family of 4 with teenagers. '

'This hotel has all the basic essentials, including wifi, fridge and microwave (at the reception’s). They don’t serve breakfast but there is a coffee machine in the room and tea at the reception’s office. If needed there’s food and water for sale, of course you can always go to Target’s. The people are very kind. Room was clean. There’s soap and lotion available. There’s no noise from others. I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat.'

'Good points: location is convenient to LA, Hollywood and Universal Studios. Free shuttle to Universal is a big plus (remember to reserve well ahead of time). The pool area and the sun deck are a great place to lounge. Rooms are good enough with decent beds. Bad points: walls of rooms are thin and there may be a lot of noise. Parking spaces are built for 1950s cars and are small for today’s size of cars. My main negative point was that the hotel charged us a ridiculous amount for a new bed sheet...

'The highlight of our trip was the staff! The staff was so friendly and understanding. My wife has GI issues and one night she had an accident and it’s never easy telling horns she had an accident but the night manager was very sympathetic to the situation and was reassuring me that it wasn’t a problem, “you can’t control what you can’t control.” So huge shout out to Quentin for showing us some compassion and being so sympathetic to the situation. Also, huge shout out to Carla at the Cafe…Great...

'Good hotel for LAX. This hotel was close to LAX. It was clean, comfortable, and fairly reasonably priced. There is no included breakfast, but breakfast can be purchased from the restaurant. There is a shuttle bus from the airport, which I did not use. I believe there is a cost for using the airport shuttle. There didn't appear to be many options for restaurants or shopping in the immediate area. If you don't have a car, that might be an issue. I would stay here again. '

'What a classic. My room was small but cosy, very nice bed and good amenities. The overall style is a bit darkish but that's in line with the original design. The lobby is fantastic art deco styled.
