The hotel is located close to the more peaceful part of the park - this means however that a lot of driving or long transfers are needed for the Eastern parts. Transfers and activities are horribly expensive, but this is the case everywhere in Torres del Paine. Overall, we liked the location as the roads were empty, we had our own car and the views from our room were magnificent. A few other positives: the spa was great, even if at times it felt crowded. The staff there were very friendly and welcoming. We liked the varied breakfast, a lot of good options to choose from. Finally, the hotel has an app, it was convenient to check the menus there and even table reservations are possible there. The main negative for us was the staff (except for in the spa): there were several issues during our stay. One day room service was forgotten, the next, the bathrobes were taken from the room, but not replaced for a day. Most of the staff at the bar could not care less about serving guests. Our main complaint was how however how they handled a dinner payment. We did not leave card details as like everywhere in Chile, they cannot or do not want to put a hold on debit cards. At dinner, they put our consumption on the room without asking us. Later (when already asleep), we got a call that we had to pay immediately. We were dumbfounded that they woke us up and even came to our room for this, we wouldn't have run off without paying USD 50 after paying USD 1500 for our stay.

We booked a room with a view of The Massif and it was completely worth it as the view is incredible! You also get the same view from the dining room and bar and comfy seating areas which were great for relaxing and taking it all in. The room was clean and modern although only minor disappointment was the bathroom which could do with an upgrade to match the quality of the rest of the hotel. The pool was lovely, a great space to relax after a long hike the day before. Initially we had concerns over being isolated in this location but for a couple of days we had no issues. Good dining options in the hotel and we booked hikes and transfers through ‘The Masssif’ who are based at the hotel and we’re great. Overall highly recommend.

We had an awesome stay at Rio Serrano. Views were amazing - definitely worth paying for the mountain view room. Staff were kind and helpful. The restaurant and bar had amazing food, wine and cocktails. This is a great option super close to Torres del Paine.

Great views. Comfy beds. Well maintained property. Great breakfast. Staff was great WiFi in our room wasn’t good. The handle in the shower was barely hanging on and couldn’t be relied upon. The rooms and property could use some updating but that is a minor point. The staff, the food and the location are unbelivebly great. I recomend the all inclusive plan. Great food any time of the day and all drinks (including liquor) included. Not many options so stay and enjoy!

spectacular location with all rooms facing The Massif in Torres del Paine. Horses graze right outside your windows. Very close location to the park and hiking/excursions. Overall a very good experience. You are paying for the location and all-inclusive of course. The double room was not anything special. The food was fantastic, but they mismanaged the Christmas Night dinner and we ate an hour and a half past our reservation.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. The views you get from the rooms are amazing. However, we had a terrible experience during our stay. Be prepared to spend at least 2-3 hours for dinner, as service is extremely slow. The staff made constant errors with our orders also, which then prolonged our dinner time even more. The hotel is very clearly under-staffed. Which may explain why almost all of the staff were very unpleasant as well. 9/10 always looked mad, were unfriendly, no one ever greets you or willingly helps you with anything. They look annoyed or roll their eyes at you when you ask them anything at all. There was one young man named Charly, who was the only nice and helpful staff member during our entire stay. He was friendly, sociable, eager to help, and most importantly, he was simply polite. He was one of the only staff there that was like that. Lastly, we had an absolute nightmare experience with Rio Serrano. We paid for the iceberg excursion and our transport van never came to pick us back up. There were a few other hotel guests also stranded with us. We had no reception, no food, were all alone in the middle of the national park, it was freezing and very windy. After a few hours we were finally picked up as we were all walking up a dirt road. The hotel first refused to refund us. After much arguing, they promised they would give us a full refund for the excursion. They never did. Unacceptable and unprofessional. Never again.

Regarding your comment on the Grey Lake excursion, we would like to reiterate the following points: You booked only the navigation service with us, which did not include transportation and was successfully proceeded without any issues. Indeed, there was a family waiting for transportation after the excursion, but unlike you, this family DID contract the transportation service with us. The transportation did experience a delay, and the guests who paid for the transfer received apologies and the corresponding refund. You are not entitled to a refund because you never paid for the service. Nevertheless, as a gesture of generosity, we brought you back to the hotel without charging you.We regret the misunderstanding and even more the lack of respect, violent shouting, and aggression you directed towards our customer information employees, who kindly attempted to explain the situation and ultimately brought you back to the hotel without charging. The hotel is new and beautiful, and has a beautiful location. However, the location is very remote and far from everything meaning there are no shops or restaurants around so you have to rely on everything that is provided by the hotel which tends to be pricey (meals, lunch boxes, activities). It is closer to all of the short hikes but it is about an 1:15 hrs away from the other/2nd park entrance that is used to enter the trail to the base of Las Torres. The roads are all gravel and dust throughout the park so you have to be careful driving. We got a flat tire but thankfully the hotel was able to patch it up for us for $30 USD. Don't worry about gasoline. There are no gas stations around but we drove from Puerto Natales, back and twice though the park and still had half a tank left. The spa is nice and new but only had a pool with "cold" jacuzzi and a sauna. No steam room or hot/warm jacuzzi. Staff are super nice and helpfull. Facility is clean. View is amazing.

The restaurant can’t handle the crowds. Chilean food is nothing to write home about to begin with and this place is no different. Service is very polite. Breakfast is good. The coffee, however, is not. The room is very expensive (as you can see) and if you get a view of the mountains, it’s nice. The roof view from the back rooms in the hotel is not so nice. You are definitely not getting what you pay for (it’s about a Courtyard equivalent room) but you do pay for what you get.

We stayed four nights at the hotel and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Especially the restaurant service was first class. We stay in hotels very often and experience all kind of service, but this was really exceptional. All employees were very helpful, always in good mood, always smiling. Thanks for that!

Views towards mountains are unbeatable….! Staff v friendly and helpful. But room not v well decorated and bathroom small. Got only one easy chair in our Superior Dbl. No pictures or soft furnishings?! Hot water ran out. No table available in restaurant despite our bkg…..system needs rethinking…..big groups staying make it difficult. Also make restaurant v v noisy and not relaxing.

6* views of mountains….incredible!! Beautiful! Gorgeous pool and spa area! Many seating areas to view scenery. Breakfast very varied and well laid out (but no freshly cooked eggs available, scrambled only which weren’t hot) Dinner menu via QR code….choice pretty good though a lot of fish! Ribeye and short rib dishes were fantastic! Rooms large but basic decor, bed v large but v firm, no pictures, no kettle, small bathroom, loose loo seat. Mini fridge, hairdryer and safe supplied. Must make dinner reservation and if it’s at 8pm or after, be prepared to wait! This shouldn’t happen! We had lovely stay, loved the stunning and unbeatable views. However the prices they charge (for accom) are not value for money - even considering the location and the logistical difficulties in operation there. We have had a truly fantastic ’once in a lifetime’ visit, but wouldn’t and couldn’t justify the cost of staying here again!!

I loved my stay at Rio Serrano. They somehow figured out it was my birthday and surprised me with a birthday cake on our first night there. The views are absolutely breathtaking taking from our room and the restaurant. The area around the hotel is perfect to relax after a long day of hike. Will definitely stay here again if I return in future.

The property was very nice and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good with a wide variety of food to choose from. The views were spectacular. Be sure to walk down to the place where the two rivers converge - it's about a 30 minute walk but worth it.

Really disappointing experience
My experience at Rio Serrano was disappointing on several fronts. The only option provided to reach the hotel was a $620 transportation service, which was literally double the price of a one-night stay at the hotel. This was disproportionate and unacceptable. The rooms left much to be desired: they were poorly painted and had inadequate lighting, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. The restaurant was another source of frustration, as the service was extremely poor. On two occasions, we waited for an hour and a half for a simple sandwich. The lack of efficiency and customer service in the restaurant further marred our stay. In summary, this hotel fell short in terms of comfort, service, and pre-booking communication. They should have informed us about the exorbitant transportation cost when making a reservation. I would not recommend this experience to anyone looking for a tranquil and enjoyable retreat in nature.

Great disappointment
don’t expect first rate service. except from one employe, most of the hotel staff are seasonal amateurs waiters, bartenders, etc. This show during dinner when you ask for a dish and never get delivered or, no bread is set on the table unless you ask, so the service standards are very low and inconsistent. There was a big group staying at the hotel and the hotel give preference to them on everything, tours, service, etc. other passengers are consider a nuance and this is reflected on the service, you can ask for a drink and will take up to 20 minutes to be deliver, (bring your son booze & wine) you can try to book a tour, horse ride, etc but everything is book by this large group, specially group related to the Chilean government, is like the own the place, this is in sharp contrast with other properties such “Lago Grey” hotel who reserve premium tables and tours space for their paying guest. We reserved STANDARD PLUS room when we arrived noted that the room is built into the attic of the hotel roof, as such the available window is located in the ceiling of the room, to have a view you have to open and actually stick your head out to the roof..with the window closed you have a beautiful view.of the Patagonian sky if you are tall watch out. The attic room is in the 4th floor. the elevator only reach the 3rd floor, to reach your attic room you have to uses the stairs, Safety - I didn’t see any smoke heat detector or emergency escape signage to escape the attic rooms…

In regard to the punctual and unusual event of the group, we are very sorry of the expedition schedule have been saturated, all the tour services in the hotel are through an external company.
