'We stayed as a group for wine tasting in Traverse City area. The location was perfect. The cottage is right on beautiful Duck Lake. We were able to enjoy mornings sipping hot coffee, watching the majestic sunrise over the lake from the cozy sunroom. 'Such a beautiful location with great views across the lake, very secluded (none of the neighbors were home), very quiet! Decent kitchen. Would have been 5 stars except for some small annoyances: WiFi network was out; pillows were not great; Shower was tiny and cramped; oversized bathtub could not be filled all the way without running out of hot water. Very dated decor, but some people might find it charming. Decent kitchen.'

'Beautiful property with beautiful scenery. Loved seeing the water and the amazing sunsets available. Was a bit chilly for hiking but it was nice to settle in and read. The house is well taken care of and beautifully taken care of with updated appliances and peaceful neighbors as well. 'The home is very tastefully decorated, extremely clean and the setting was idyllic. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our weekend. The layout of the house was perfect. The covered deck was like an additional living room for us. Be sure to bring water shoes for the lake. It's nice and shallow at the house but the rocks are plentiful and slippery.'

Even though it was 15 degrees outside, there is a breakfast nook in the kitchen with a full view of the bay, and we spent a lot of time there enjoying the view. One thing to note is that the bed was quite stiff, which we didn't like.'

'My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect fit for us. We liked the wooded lot and quiet location, yet it allowed easy access to all of the things we wanted to do. We visited Sleeping Bear Dunes at multiple locations to hike, beachcomb, and enjoy the Fall colors. Frankfurt and Empire were not far away. The cottage had all of our needs covered. We really enjoyed the fireplace. The property description is accurate and we highly recommend it.'
