mooi en schoon hotel in balinese stijl vriendelijk personeel. free shuttle naar centrum v Ubud.Lekker ontbijt. Ben hier al 3x geweest. Een echte aanrader!

een oase van rust

weg van de massa,een oase van rust, een kleinschalig hotel met 6 houten kamers en 2 aparte buitenkamers. een hartelijk welkom door het personeel, goede uitleg. houten kamers zijn groot, geen airco, was bekend. ontbijt op je eigen balkon, wat een service wat ik ook aanbeveel is de massage die je daar kunt boeken, zelden zo goed een ervaren

We stayed just one night before we flew back home. I thought that the hotel was in Ubud (the reason for us being there) but it was 20 minutes outside and so we never got to experience the market or anything that Ubud is known for. However, that's more down to my lack of research than a fault of the hotel. Despite its beautiful surroundings (perched on a lush river side) we found the experience in the hotel less than average. When we arrived there were two young boys who greeted us (nice but didn't speak English) and who then prepared our supper. We weren't convinced by eating outside our room (surely this would encourage rats, mice, ants?) and instead chose to eat downstairs for supper. This was the sticking point as we saw one of the 'chefs' taste our average food with his fingers and then served up with his fingers! We left our food and couldn't wait to get out of the hotel the following morning. The lady the next day spoke more English and was very nice and I think it would have been different if she'd been there the previous evening. It seemed remiss to leave two (albeit very sweet boys) in charge of everything. The experience left us feeling that hygiene needs to be looked at.

Everything was amazing!

Wonderdul and kind staff. Clean room with beautiful view. Quiet and peacful area. Breakfast and lunch were amazing! Definitely would recommend!!

Service was amazing, pool was great to chill in and relax after a day of wandering in Ubud. Very open villas and rooms with good breeze, makes up for no aircon. Amazing view from the balcony of the villas.

The hotel is very nice and good atmosphere.

The hotel was great for everything. The staff was very helpful and so kind. They help me for motorbike rental and book the trekking trip. They offer a lot of assist if you have no idea for traveling. If I have a chance to go to Ubud I will stay at Graha Moding again.

Charming hotel close to Ubud

Very charming hotel with a great view over rice terraces. In it I felt like I was a part of some fancy expedition, with its antique-looking furniture and cozy room. Amazing infinity pool, warm even in the evening. Quiet atmosphere, comfortable bed. The only inconveniences were: 1) insufficient lighting in the room (too dark); and 2) rare shuttle service to Ubud. The downtown are is about 10-15 minutes by bike and an hour of walking. Also, the stuff cleaned my room, even though I left the "do no disturb" sign on my door.

Loved it, though a looooong walk to town in heat

Perfect if you are wanting to get away from the horrendous traffic now clogging ubud streets. The walk to town is a bit long in the heat of the day or at night, but if you don't mind taking a 10-minute taxi ride. Perfectly peaceful, lovely setting and a wonderful reprieve from the crowds of ubud.

Beautiful escape

If you want to enjoy rustic balanise villa and be surrounded by nature, rice fields and ease of life, this is a place for you. A few kilometres from business of Ubud. Do not expect TV in your room, locks on doors and AC but rather mosquito nets and a fan. ( there is safe in a room ) Expect beautiful pool overlooking lush hills, piece and sounds of nature. Staff can arrange free shuttle for you or private taxi.

Do NOT stay here. They have bedbugs!!

Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant stay at Graha Moding. The rooms are authentic Balinese style rooms overlooking rice fields (which are stunning), but the problem is that there are many bugs and larger creatures that can get into the room. Also, the bedsheets and cover were damp. The first night I had to chase a large ghekko out of my room and I woke up covered in bedbug bites (so gross)!!! I had to check out a day early because I could not sleep there a second night.

Fantastic stay in a quiet area of Ubud

We stayed in the river villa and it was perfect. It is located about 10-15 min drive from the city center of Ubud, which is very busy, thus the location of the villa is great (the area is extemely quiet). Shuttles to Ubud are offered twice a day. The staff was fantastic - always so nice and accommodating. Breakfast is delivered to your door and served on your private balcony - it was also delicious!! The facilities are very clean and the grounds extremely well kept.

Amazing view

The hotel does have an amazing view and you really are in the ungle. The pool was great too just like the photos. Room was good but definitley gets hot without air con. The bath/shower didn't work properly and was cold water only. Breakfast was good, there is a shuttle into and out of town but it doesn't take you back to the hotel till about 10pm making it quite a long day. Hard to get taxis back for a reasonable price.

Bonito hotel a unos 4 km del centro de Ubud

Bonito y tranquilo hotel a unos 4km de Ubud. La habitación muy completa pero con mucha suciedad debajo de las camas. A la hora de cenar aunque tienen carta hay muchas cosas de las que no tienen disponibilidad. Por lo demás, es muy probable que te encuentres hormigas e insectos en la habitación pero ten en cuenta que estás rodeado de vegetación por lo que es algo normal.

Great location out of the busy centre but close to a beautiful walk through the rice fields to and from town. Excellent staff, great rooms, beautiful jungle surrounds. Would definitely stay again

The amazing Graha Moding

Graha Moding was the perfect introduction to the Ubud. Me and my boyfriend loved this place. We could have stayed here for the whole trip and definitely was to come back in future. You can see a rice terrace. The of nature are one to remember. Its beautiful here i'd recommend it to any one.

Beautiful hotel with lovely staff!

We had such an amazing stay at Graha Moding. Such a beautiful little boutique hotel around 10 min drive outside of Ubud centre. Its very peaceful and all you can hear is the sound of the birds, just what we wanted outside of the hustle and bustle of the tourists. The 3 course breakfast was amazing (go for the banana pancakes) set up outside our room every morning by the lovely staff. Would 100% recommend!

Just beautiful, quiet, semi-secluded and small in that there are not many rooms, very helpful and beautiful people, could not say enough nice things about this place, only draw back would be that you are close to the neighbouring room, if you want to be close enough for a 45 minute walk to central Ubud or a short taxi ride but far enough away for a quiet stay away from the tourism then you will love this place, magnificent food on site as well

Run down but clean

The pool overlooking the jungle is pretty instagrammable, and the staff are super friendly, but beyond that, the place is clean and staff work hard but it's feeling very run down and there are certainly better spots for the price. The rooms don't really lock (as in there's a lock on the door but then giant windows that don't lock); the bathroom door was falling off; evening shuttle didn't come one night; card machine didn't work (take cash).

Secluded and rustic

This is a secluded rustic accommodation. The staff are always lovely. The view from the hotel is great and it is very quiet. You need a ride to the Ubud centre as it's far enough. They have free shuttles a couple of times a day but it was not easy to be out all day because it's so hot. Limited numbers but there are a few restaurants in a walkable distance. They only had a fan in the room we stayed and it was too dark to read at night. But otherwise it's a fantastic place to stay.
