'Front desk staff need some customer service training. When I approached the desk on Sunday night neither of the two young females greeted me. I had to ask if I could check in. Then the only thing spoken to me was to ask for my cc for incidentals and that I must pay a parking fee. There was no “thank you” or hope you have a great stay or let us know if you need anything…..They set the tone for my stay. This place is fine if you are doing something connected with the university but not if you are...

'Elevator was out, I am handicap and moving luggage downstairs was horrific. I have a broke neck which makes me unable to look down or sideways, therefore walking downstairs is more than dangerous for me. Elevator was out for several days. '

'Parking was easy. The AC Unit was loud and very disturbing when it kicked on, the bathtub was pretty gross. I originally booked a room with 1 King Bed, when I called on my way to confirm my room, as I was arriving late, I was told the King Bed rooms were filled. Which was fine b/c my daughter ended up wanting to stay in the room, but when I got there .. even though they already filled my reserved King Bed Room, they charged me more money for the room with 2 beds ... Bad Business'

'We did not stay at Days Inn, Tuscaloosa, because when we got there at 1:30 am, the hotel was CLOSED. No arrangements had been made for us to stay somewhere else. We were sent to a Microtel across town that no longer exists. The night watchman or whoever he was tried to contact another hotel but could get no answer. We finally found another hotel on our own, that was not worth the money we paid, for the rest of that night. The next day Days Inn arranged for us to stay at Microtel, Cottondale,...

'I was appreciative that they had a room available during graduation weekend. They are 10 minutes away from campus. All rooms are smoking so the ashtray odor is to be expected. The room phone didn't work. The outlets are so loose that the charger plug falls out. The tv shuts off intermittently every 5 to 15 minutes and it's a crapshoot how long it will be to come back on. Otherwise it was good enough to get some sleep. '
