Rustige omgeving waar je alleen vogels hoort zingen en briesjes die door de bomen blazen. Wanneer je naar ons huis rijdt, genaamd Shadowlands, zul je meteen onder de indruk zijn van de vredige natuur om je heen, spectaculaire uitzichten en een prachtig huis dat op je wacht. Er is parkeergelegenheid voor 2 voertuigen naast het huis op slechts een steenworp afstand van de grote woonkamer en extra parkeergelegenheid op de bovenste oprit. Gloednieuwe 3 verdiepingen tellende berghuis in een gesloten gemeenschap op 4+ hectare. Ruime grote kamer en kookkeuken, 4 grote slaapkamers waarvan 2 master-suites en een bonus-kamer met stapelbed (max. 4 slaapplaatsen van 165 lbs per stapelbed) voor in totaal 10 slaapplaatsen. Kingsize bedden in 2 master suites, een kingsize bed in de 3e slaapkamer en een tweeling in de 4e slaapkamer. Alle slaapkamers hebben onderling verbonden badkamers. Belangrijkste woonverdieping heeft een half bad grenzend aan grote kamer, eetkamer en keuken.
Er zijn dekken op het hoofdniveau en een lager niveau waardoor u niet alleen kunt genieten van een spectaculair uitzicht, maar ook buiten kunt eten en grillen op de bijgeleverde gasgrill. Voldoende zitplaatsen buiten en toegang tot de vuurplaats op de begane grond. Groot scherm televisies op elke verdieping, kabel en Wifi beschikbaar. Gelegen in Vilas NC net buiten Boone NC met snelle toegang tot skigebieden evenals wandelen, vissen en activiteiten voor alle seizoenen en alle gezinsleden. Toegang tot wasmachine en droger op 2 verdiepingen evenals gas open haard in grote kamer op de begane grond.
Keuken en eetkamer voldoen aan al uw behoeften met een gasfornuis en alle grote en kleine apparaten die u nodig heeft, inclusief Kuerig koffiezetapparaat, Breville broodroosteroven, Cuisenart keukenmachine, pizza maker, blender en meer. Eettafel stoelen 8 en aangrenzende counter met plaats voor 4.

House was perfect for a group of 8 girlfriends to get away! Property was beautiful, quiet and tucked away - wildlife around every corner - we NEVER used the living room because we stayed out on the deck the entire time for a gorgeous view - property was extremely clean, decor was perfect and the attention to detail was the best! Owners were quick to respond, check-in was convenient and we had no issues at all. Would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful Stay

The sunsets are the icing on the cake of this home. The kitchen is immaculately equipped for pretty much any meal you want to make, the beds and linens are comfortable, it’s clean and welcoming, quiet, and in a great location with so much privacy and so many birds to hear. Be advised the bunk room is an alcove “open to” the downstairs living (there is no door or curtain.)

Have stayed here twice and will stay again! Secluded mountain cabin with great amenities. Two decks, gas stove, gas grill, well equipped to cook big meals. Lots of comfy seating and well appointed. Owners are very responsive and friendly. Would recommend!

Perfect Mountain Getaway with Friends

Four of us couples travelled from south Florida for our husbands to participate in their 3rd annual 100 mile cycling ride through the mountains. It’s been hard to find what we were looking for over the past three years, but this year we hit the jackpot with The Shadowlands! Each couple had a king size bed and bathroom all to themselves. Private, cozy and beautiful. Garry and Ruth thought of every detail with this property—From the fully equipped kitchen, to the stocked game cabinet along with plenty of seating on the deck to take in the breathtaking view of the sunset over the mountains each night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave! They were so friendly, kind and helpful, quick to respond if we had questions. I would highly recommend Garry and Ruth’s lovely home to anyone wanting to escape to the mountains!

Our third time visiting north carolina and tennesee and this is cabin was just perfect! Beautiful, clean and full of details that makes us feel welcome. Close to grandfather mountain and sugar mountain where we had the luck that was snowing during our visit. Hope to be back some day again

Family Thanksgiving Reunion

This beautiful mountain home in Boone, N.C. was perfect for our family of 7 adults and 3 children. The house is spacious and the kitchen well equipped! The views from the house are stunning! The Perfect Holiday House near Boone and Vale Crucis

We had an absolutely fabulous trip to Boone/Vale Crucis. This house is by far the best VRBO we have stayed in. The view, location and home are fantastic. The house was immaculate, and the kitchen fully equipped. Hosts are organized, easy to communicate with and unobtrusive. We plan to book again for the same time next year.

Family Reunion Football Trip

Family from Coastal NC, Florida, Georgia, and New Jersey came in to enjoy fall foliage, see my App State Senior, and root on Mountaineers Football! The house is fabulous! Very clean and all that was promised, including an exquisite view! Communication with owners was easy and prompt. The gravel drive was a bit daunting for those not used to mountain driving, but they got used to it after a day or two! Highly recommend this lovely home!

Great place, great location, great communication

This is a beautiful place that is fully up to date with more than enough room for our party of six. The location is close enough to all the fun stuff in Western NC including Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Boone and Banner Elk. We did not do it but Ashville could certainly be day trip. The owner is a great communicator. Nothing went wrong but they gave us helpful hints, provided details about the property and stayed in touch throughout. We will definitely consider this place for the next time we go to Western NC for a mountain visit.

Serene Family Retreat

We went with one other family and had combined 6 kids under 10. The layout of the house is great for two families, and we had the baby downstairs napping without being disrupted. It’s close to everything you’d want to go to, and has everything you need to feel like you’re home. Don’t worry about the other driveway comments, it’s not dangerous or scary, just go slower on the gravel incline to keep wheels from spinning and it’s all good. The hosts were great at communication, and were super accommodating when I had shipped a few things to the house from Amazon not realizing it would end up in a parcel locker (don’t order things to the house or you’ll suffer the same fate!)

Amazing Fathers Day Weekend

My parents, sister, her daughter, my wife and two daughters and I stayed here for an amazing Father’s Day weekend. This cabin has it all! My sister and her 6 month old had their own space upstairs, my parents had their in the middle and my family and I stayed downstairs where everyone had their own living room, TV beds. The decks were so spacious, and the views were incredible! No neighbors within view or hearing. It was an incredible and memorable weekend. There was nothing bad I can say about this place.
