On the other hand, it is very tattered, dated, rickety and an electrical nightmare. Extension cords and hidden switches everywhere and very dimly lit. Floors covered with throw rugs that all overlap; the walls and ceilings covered with fabric that has been stapled on. And, used toilet paper cannot be flushed down the toilet. Although there is no running water the host was very friendly and accomodate for us and always made sure we had what we needed. Definitely recommend if you want to stay on an affordable boat in the canals of Amsterdam!!'

'This houseboat is not fancy - but it is as comfortable as being at a friend's cabin - we didn't want to leave. We had not stayed in Amsterdam before, so wanted our first few nights to be something unique. The boat was perfect! It was close walking to everything, yet it was quiet and relaxing once inside.
