'The hotel is in an excellent place that allowed for a variety of dining options. The area is extremely walkable and very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and delivered a restful night of sleep. Staff was very professional and pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable with many options to choise from. '

'My only complaint was that despite a 12:00 check out time and “Do Not Disturb Sign”, house keeping loudly tapped on the door ( 6x each time) beginning at 9am and an hour or so later. They continued to tap until we woke/verbally responded, each time. I had the alarm set and was prepared to leave at check out time ( and did) but would have preferred a restful morning and that staff respected the “Do not disturb” sign.

"Modern en schoon. Vriendelijk personeel. Geen eigen restaurant, maar prima koffie en croissants in het bakkerijtje beneden, met terrasje buiten.
Metro en Central Park op 5 minuten lopen. Veel restaurantjes en supermarkt om de hoek. Met de metro in 10 minuten op Times Square.
Upper West is iets rustiger dan down town, dus fijn om even bij te komen van een dag hectisch NYC!"
"Good place next to time square, clean hotel, good beds, rooms for 4 persons aren somewhat small if you have suitcases, but doable. Breakfast is proper and included (just missing basic options for bread such as cheese and ham).
The elevator situation especially around breakfast time is terrible. There are 5 elevators for over 30+ floors. If you are below level 20 there is a fair chance that you have to wait +10 mins for a elevator thats not full.
Further is the rooftop bar not just to but you must take a table. Outside space is limited, while inside the airco is on turbo.
Staff in general is nice, there is a basic but well maintained gym and they offer taxi services in case u need one to the airport. Conclusion, eventhough the elevator situation I would return."

It’s the perfect base for exploring New York, with major attractions and public transportation all within easy walking distance. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the $100 per hour charge for late checkout, which felt a bit steep. That said, we absolutely enjoyed our time here and would gladly come back!"
